This was coming as a reaction to the rumour making the rounds that President Goodluck Jonathan has in mind to reshuffle his cabinet and may likely be tempted to remove the minister from the aviation industry.

Speaking at the Freedom Square at the Murtala Muhammed Airport Lagos, Chairman of the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) FAAN branch, Comrade Ekanem Ekanem while pleading to President Goodluck Jonathan to leave the aviation minister alone stressed that the minister was highly needed in the industry to complete her transformation agenda in the aviation industry.

‘’That is the essence of this congress, upon that, we have sent a letter to the President in this regard and hopefully, the letter will be transmitted to the President, we want the minister of aviation to remain here, we are not thinking of any other thing now but let her remain here so that we will be able to flow in that very direction’’ he stressed.

Comrade Ekanem further pointed out that since Princes Oduah came into the aviation sector, things started changing for the better as most of the ills of the industry was been wiped out completely.

‘’So we are appealing to the President, if you like call it begging, that the President should allow her to remain in the aviation industry, she has started with a very noble project and honestly, if she leaves, those projects might remain uncompleted, so we want her to complete what she has started, if not for anything, for being able to wipe out completely and clean the aviation industry of the rats and rodents, she has been able to wipe them out completely’’ he affirmed.

Comrade Ekanem further noted that Princes Oduah was really trying in changing all the airports across the country.
