FG urges FAAN staffs to embrace transformation

The Federal Government under the aegis of the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has urged its’ staffs to internalized the aviation master plan in order to enhance efficiency in service delivery at all Nigerian airports.
They were also enjoined to translate the vision and mission of the Authority into realizable and achievable building blocks.
According to Uriesi, the organization must change the business model of the airport into one that is self-sustaining and creates a conducive business environment that would be attractive to the private sector.
He added that the Authority’s management was committed to equipping the airports with modern, state-of-the-art facilities, in line with global trends.
He charged top management to put into practice strategic imperatives acquired from the just concluded ministerial retreat held for the top management of aviation parastatals by the Federal Ministry Aviation.
Mr. Uriesi further said that the strategic thrust of the retreat was to make air transport a preferred and safest means of transportation adding that the model was also designed to create a self-sustaining business model and develop socio-economic growth in Nigeria.
He then charged the members of the Authority’s Leadership Team to
mobilize their immediate staff, aviation stakeholders and the general public to participate actively in on-going transformation of Nigerian airports.
