Vodafone is first to add the BlackBerry Q10 to pre-order status.
TORONTO: Vodafone are first off the starting blocks to let us know that the BlackBerry Q10 can now be pre-ordered for delivery on the 26th April. Of course, this is the QWERTY version of the BlackBerry Z10 and there may well be a load of people who have been waiting for this version.
BlackBerry has re-engineered the keyboard so that it offers a faster and more accurate typing capability. With the Q10, you can alternate from BBM chat to a BBM video by simply tapping the screen while Screen Share lets you share emails, photos and more without stopping the conversation.
The BlackBerry Q10 is “4G Ready” for when Vodafone launches it 4G mobile network in a few months. The cheapest deal is on the Vodafone Red Data price plan and the Q10 comes free for £37 per month (including unlimited calls, unlimited texts and 1GB of data).
The Q10 comes with a 3.1 inch 330PPI Super AMOLED display, physical QWERTY keyboard, BlackBerry 10 OS, 8 megapixel main camera, Dual Core 1.5 GHz Qualcomm MSM8960 processor and 16GB of internal memory. It comes in two colour versions : black or white.
Coming from the same stable as the BlackBerry Z10, which we reviewed back in February, our reviewer concluded “The BlackBerry Z10 is a decent phone for leisure and business with a smart operating system”. We see a similar outcome for the Q10, but in this case, its one of the few smartphones which offer consumers the choice of a physical keyboard.
