Nigeria Loses $500bn Annually to Outsourcing
ABUJA – More than $500bn is lost annually by the country to its inability to harness the potentials available to it in the outsourcing market.
It is to this end that the Nigeria Association of Information Technology Enabled Outsourcing Companies (NAITEOC) has called upon the Federal Government to enable a legal framework compatible w3ith the outsourcing industry for the creation of an enabling environment for achieving global standard.
Chris Uwaje, President of the Institute of Software Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON) and member of the inauguration said at the inauguration of the NAITEOC Board of Trustees that outsourcing is a core backbone to Nigerian entrepreneurship.
He further said that if the industry is put in shape, Nigeria would have about $100bn remitted back to it through outsourcing.
