India stock index futures signal flat open

NEW DELHI – Indian equities are likely to open flat tracking mixed global markets on Monday, December 2, 2013. SGX Nifty is trading at 6,235.5 (07.50 am), 7.5 points higher than Friday’s close of 6,228.

Asian stocks are trading mixed in early trade on Monday. Japanese benchmark index Nikkei 225 fell 0.01% to open at 15,659.74. China’s Shanghai Composite opened down by 0.78% at 2,203.12.

US stocks declined on Friday. The S&P 500 went down 1.42 points, or 0.08%, to 1,805.81. The Dow Jones industrial average declined 10.92 points, or 0.07%, to 16,086.41. Nasdaq composite rose 15.14 points, or 0.37%, to 4,059.89.

india stock exchangeEuropean markets declined on Friday. UK’s benchmark index FTSE 100 dropped 3.90 points or 0.06% to settle at 6,650.57. French benchmark index CAC 40 fell 7.21 points or 0.17%, to end at 4,295.21. On the otherhand, Germany’s benchmark index DAX went up 17.93 points or 0.19% to close at 9,405.30.

Crude oil prices ended lower on Friday. Light sweet crude oil for December delivery decreased 42 cents, or 0.5% to settle at USD 92.72 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange. Brent crude oil for December settlement fell USD 1.17, or 1.1% at USD 109.69 a barrel on the London-based ICE Futures Europe Exchange.
