A rising star in the Nigerian movie industry, Malachi Okonkwo has just bagged a major endorsement deal with Elegantflix, a popular streaming platform in the country.

The news was announced in a press conference held by Elegantflix, where they revealed that Okonkwo would be the face of their new marketing campaign.

According to the company’s Chief Marketing Officer, Okonkwo was chosen due to his talent, charisma, and large social media following, which they believe will help drive more subscribers to the platform.

Okonkwo, who is best known for his roles in popular Nigerian films and TV shows, expressed his excitement about the endorsement deal, saying that he was thrilled to be working with a company that he had long admired.

The 16-year -old London born teenager said, “I thank God and Dr. Pauline Long for the honour. Dr. Long is a great leader who strives in making people’s life meaningful. I also thank my mother for having me on the set of ‘Love Conquers.’ I wouldn’t be here without your support, thank you, mum. I will use the same positive energy for Elegantflix magazine.”

Davido Drops 4th Album ‘Timeless’ [Video]

Popular Nigerian singer, Davido, has come under fire for allegedly threatening social media commentator Radiogad over criticism of his forthcoming album, 5ive.

The controversy began when Radiogad shared his thoughts on a snippet from the album, condemning its quality and advising Davido to quit music.

In response, the Unavailable crooner reportedly sent direct messages (DMs) to Radiogad, demanding that he delete the video review.

In a leaked chat circulating on social media platform X, Davido accused the commentator of attempting to undermine his hard work.

He also warned Radiogad against posting about him, vowing to “deal with him.”

Reacting to the threats, Radiogad took to X to share screenshots of their conversation, calling on the public to hold Davido responsible if anything happens to him or his family.

“Davido came in my DM last night and threatened to kpai (kill) me. Guys, if anything happens to me or my family, make una know say na Davido run am (know that Davido is responsible),” Radiogad wrote.

He further defended his right to express opinions on social media without fear, stating, “As a social commentator, I have the right and freedom to express my views on social media, and I’m not scared of anyone. Just thought I should let you guys know.”

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage, has said women need males even though they are "crazy."

Award-winning Nigerian singer and actress, Tiwa Savage, has stated that she has no plans to sign upcoming artists, citing the challenges of artist management.

Speaking in an interview with Forbes Africa on Thursday, the Afrobeats star explained that while many people expect her to nurture new talent, she finds managing musicians too demanding.

Everyone always asks me, ‘When will you sign an artiste?’ I don’t think I have the gift to sign another artiste, because artistes are stressful. I could just be sleeping, and then I will wake up and my artist is trending for something else,” she said.

Rather than signing artists, Savage revealed she is working on establishing a music school to help aspiring musicians refine their skills before securing record deals.

Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has responded to allegations from his estranged associate, Sophia Egbueje, who claimed he failed to honor a promise to buy her a Lamborghini.

The controversy began after a leaked voice note surfaced online, in which Sophia allegedly stated that Burna Boy had assured her of the luxury car following an intimate encounter.

However, she claimed he did not fulfill the promise, leading her to cut off communication with him.
