Nollywood Actor Papa Show Suspended For Alleged Assault On Female Colleague
Actor Olamilekan Shoneye, widely recognized as Papa Show, has been suspended from the African Men Entertainment Kings, an actors’ group.
The suspension follows allegations of physical assault against his female junior colleague, Temidayo Morakinyo.
Morakinyo had recently spoken out against Shoneye, accusing him of assaulting her during the filming of a movie in Ibadan.
In a video shared from the movie set, she displayed her bleeding lips and claimed that Shoneye had punched her in the face after she reported his misconduct to her supervisor on Thursday, May 18.
In response to the incident, African Men Entertainment Kings (AFRIMEK) released a letter on their official Instagram page on Friday, addressing the issue.
The club expressed their concern over the mental, emotional, and physical abuse inflicted upon Temidayo by one of their members, Olamilekan Shoneye, also known as “Show.”
The letter stated that Shoneye has faced consequences for his actions and has been subjected to an indefinite suspension.
It reads “Dear Temidayo, we received news of the mental, emotional, and physical abuse meted out on you by a member of our club, Mr Olamilekan Shoneye, popularly known as “show”.
“His actions do not represent the identity for which our club stands for and been known to project. He has been immediately sanctioned and placed on indefinite suspension, while further investigations by our disciplinary committee are ongoing to unravel the entire fact of the unfortunate incident.
“We would also like to extend our sincere apology to you. No one deserves such a treatment. We will equally take up the medical charges to restore you back to good health. Our gesture is to show how apologetic we are as a body.” it added.

“Entertainment is one of the things that has made Africa look good. We do not have the best leader, that is a fact,” Davido stated, addressing an issue many Africans are familiar with.
