Man Arrested For Raping 90-Year-Old Woman

A 34-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly raping a 90-year-old woman at an aged care home in Bateau Bay, a town, 100 kilometers north of Sydney in Australia.

According report, the police stated that the suspect entered the facility in the early hours of November 15 and assaulted the woman.

Jayne Doherty, the head of the sex crimes unit, described the assault on the vulnerable elderly woman within the confines of her home as a “horrendous” act, emphasizing the unimaginable nature of the attack.

According to Doherty, the victim sustained severe injuries and experienced trauma.

She mentioned that the woman is currently receiving care from her family and medical professionals at a hospital.

Additionally, the suspected assailant was apprehended in a nearby town on November 20th.

Soldier Slaps Woman Into Coma At Banex Plaza

A female pedestrian at Banex Plaza in the Wuse 2 area of the Federal Capital Territory was allegedly slapped into a coma by a military personnel stationed there.

This incident occurred during a scuffle between traders and soldiers, leading to the closure of Banex Plaza for the fourth consecutive day.

According to reports, the woman fell unconscious on Tuesday while walking along a barricaded road and was confronted by soldiers for crossing the barricade at the plaza.

After questioning the woman, one of the soldiers reportedly administered a heavy slap, causing her to collapse.

She was swiftly loaded into a van and driven away from the scene at high speed.

It remains uncertain if the woman received medical attention after being slapped by a soldier.

Traders at Banex Plaza are grappling with financial losses stemming from the military’s intervention, which they argue could have been resolved differently.

BIZTELLERS reports that the turmoil at Banex Plaza erupted when a trader allegedly sold a defective phone to a customer who called in soldiers.

Despite initial police intervention, soldiers later arrived, compelling traders to shut down operations abruptly.

Numerous social media videos capture soldiers chasing and punishing individuals at the scene.

The army has refrained from commenting on the incident, with spokesperson Onyema Nwachukwu yet to issue an official statement as of this report’s filing.

Police Arrest Man Who Attempted To Steal Singer BNXN’s Jewellery

Spanish authorities have apprehended a man suspected of attempting to steal a jewellery box belonging to Nigerian singer BNXN in Barcelona.

British-Nigerian media personality Adesope Shopsydoo revealed the incident on his Instagram page.

The Afrobeats podcaster shared a video capturing the moment the alleged thief was detained following his unsuccessful attempt to snatch the singer’s multi-million-dollar jewellery box.

Shopsydoo captioned the video: “Thief who tried to steal singer BNXN’s box of expensive jewels apprehended by his team and police in Barcelona.”

As of now, BNXN has yet to comment on the incident.

Woman Arrested For Burning Hands Of Co-Wife’s Children

In Adamawa State, police have apprehended 23-year-old Rachel Geoffrey for allegedly burning the hands of two children belonging to her co-wife.

Rachel, a resident of the Federal Housing Estate in Girei local government area, is accused of inflicting severe injuries on 7-year-old Genesis Geoffrey and 3-year-old Ijadai Geoffrey.

Reports indicate that the children’s mother has separated from their father, who is Rachel’s husband.

Rachel was reported to have cooked rice and set it aside for her husband, the father of the victims, before leaving the house.

When the hungry children ate the food meant for their father, Rachel became enraged.

In her anger, she tied the children’s hands with a handkerchief to restrain them, then set their hands on fire, causing severe injuries.

The state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Dankombo Morris, called on the public, particularly parents, to meet their responsibilities in caring for their children.

He also promised that the case would be prosecuted thoroughly.
