Adele Announces Break From Music

English singer, Adele has announced that she is taking a break from music to explore new creative pursuits.

The ‘Hello’ singer, who has resided in the United States for the past two years, plans to return to her home country when her residency expires in November.

In an interview with German broadcaster ZDF, Adele stated, “I don’t have plans for new music at all. I want a big break, and I think I want to do other creative things just for a little while.”

The 16-time Grammy winner’s last album, ’30,’ released in 2021, won the British Album of the Year at the Brit Awards in 2022.

Fans should not expect new music from her for the foreseeable future.

Adele Laurie Blue Adkins, known professionally as Adele, burst onto the music scene with her debut album, ’19,’ in 2008, which featured hits like “Chasing Pavements” and “Hometown Glory.” Her follow-up album, ’21,’ released in 2011, catapulted her to international stardom with chart-toppers such as “Rolling in the Deep” and “Someone Like You.”

The success of ’21’ earned her numerous awards, including six Grammy Awards in 2012. Her third album, ’25,’ released in 2015, continued her streak of success with singles like “Hello” and “When We Were Young.” ’25’ also garnered multiple accolades, including five Grammy Awards.

Adele’s soulful voice and deeply personal lyrics have made her one of the best-selling music artists of all time.
