Court Document Reveals P Diddy Allegedly Paid $1 Million For Tupac Assassination
American rapper, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been further implicated in the murder of Tupac Shakur, according to newly revealed court documents.
The documents claim that Diddy paid $1 million to have Tupac assassinated in 1996.
Duane ‘Keefe D’ Davis, a key suspect apprehended last year in connection with Tupac’s murder, alleged that Diddy financed his rival’s assassination on 7 September 1996, as reported by the U.S. Sun.
The court documents, filed on 18 July, mention several of Diddy’s pseudonyms, including Puff Daddy and P Diddy. The documents highlight the longstanding animosity between Diddy and Tupac.
The infamous feud between Diddy’s Bad Boy Records on the East Coast and Tupac’s Death Row Records, then owned by Marion ‘Suge’ Knight on the West Coast, was well-known within the hip-hop industry.

Keefe told law enforcement that Diddy paid $1 million to another gangster, Eric Von Martin, to kill Tupac. According to Keefe’s account, Diddy reached out after news of Tupac’s assassination broke, asking whether it was “us” or another rival gang.
“Sean Combs reaches out to Defendant wondering if South Side Crips were responsible for Shakur’s death by asking, ‘Is that us?’,” court records showed. “Defendant, beaming with pride, answers, ‘Yes’.”
Keefe had willingly given this information, believing he had immunity from prosecution. However, this has backfired and could now be used against him in court.
The court filings state that the conspiracy to commit murder began in California between Keefe, Eric ‘Zip’ Martin, and Sean Combs. Keefe admitted to LA police detectives that his nephew, Orlando ‘Baby Lane’ Anderson, “popped the dude (Tupac),” narrating in detail how his nephew “leaned over, rolled down the window, and popped them.”
Keefe has publicly asserted that he only incriminated himself and did not intend to provide evidence against anyone else in his conversations with the police. However, the court records suggest otherwise, indicating that Sean Combs paid Eric Von Martin a million dollars for the killing.
When questioned by police, asking, “When you said paid, paid by Puffy, right?” Keefe responded with a “Yeah,” according to court records.
Expressing regret, Keefe stated in court, “I wish I never met Puff Daddy, period. I swear to God… He messed up my life, man. I was, I was rich, up under the radar, all that, man… it’s all gone.”
The revelations from the court documents have reignited interest in the case and have potential implications for all those involved.
