By Funmilayo Olusanya

London-based disc jockey and singer, Florence Otedola, aka Cuppy who turned 30 on Friday was left in total shock as she received a country home worth £5,000,000 (N2.8Billion) birthday present from her billionaire dad Femi Otedola.

DJ Cuppy Receives N2.8b Mansion As Birthday Present From DadThis was revealed in a Whatsapp conversation with her dad which she shared on her official Instagram page on Friday.

DJ Cuppy started the WhatsApp discussion by inquiring about her father’s memory of her birthday.

Femi Otedola quickly responded that he could never forget because he had already prepared an enormous birthday present for DJ Cuppy.

In honor of her daughter, Femi Otedola said that he had given the order for DJ Cuppy to receive a £5,000,000 country estate (big mansion) from Barclays Bank as a gift for turning 30.

When reacting, DJ Cuppy was rendered speechless because she could not foresee it happening and, so, was completely taken aback.

Meanwhile, contrary to popular belief, Cuppy chose not to celebrate her birthday by throwing a party.

She stated that she is thankful to God for everything she has been able to accomplish thus far.

She wrote on social media, “Yes, Lord, you did it again. You gave me another year. Happy 30th birthday to me!

“Earlier this year, I decided that I wouldn’t do some silly lavish cuppy party but instead, enter my new age in prayer and surrounded by family only.

“For once, I am going to clap for myself and say I am so proud of all I have accomplished and so excited for the joy my 30s will bring.

“Happy birthday, incredible Cuppy, ME!”

Recall that Cuppy and the rest of her family recently gathered on the largest boat in the world to celebrate her father’s 60th birthday. In actuality, the family is still sailing the open seas.

Cuppy has performed as a DJ at a number of noteworthy occasions, including the Financial Times Business of Luxury Summit, Tatler and Christie’s Art Ball, and the MTV Africa Music Awards (South Africa) (Mexico).

She has collaborated on songs throughout her singing career with artists like Tekno, Rema, Fireboy DML, Teni, Sarkodie, Skuki, and Zlatan.

She was born into affluence but is also philanthropic and has shown a passion for assisting the less fortunate. She has collaborated with Save The Children UK through her Cuppy Foundation, and since 2021, she has made significant financial contributions to numerous nonprofit organizations in Nigeria.

Nigerian music stars Kizz Daniel and Tekno were caught in a public feud after allegations surfaced on social media claiming that Kizz Daniel had been sharing profits from their hit song “Buga” with Tekno.

The controversy stemmed from a post by an undisclosed account alleging statements made by Tekno in an interview regarding his collaboration with Kizz Daniel.

The post, dated April 14, read, “I got on Kizz Daniel’s Buga with no sort of legal agreement. I wasn’t expecting anything from him. Wanted to be silent about this but I think some levels of gratitude deserve to be spoken of.”

“Do y’all know Kizz Daniel sends me 50% of every revenue he generates from that song? After his buga tour he sent me close to a billion naira and I was already shocked enough by that move.

“He didn’t end just there. Every month, I receive millions as my own share of the revenue generated by Buga on streaming platforms… Kizz is a great guy I can’t lie” ~ Tekno Reveals…”

In response to the post on the same day, Tekno swiftly refuted the claims, stating, “Him money no reach. anybody wey put out that fake interview, thunder fire your mama…”

However, nearly two weeks later, on Monday, Kizz Daniel responded to Tekno’s denial with a sarcastic retort, saying, “Dem mention money, you sef dey talk. Spewing shit like an*s. See ekuke way we rescue with BUGA !! Oloribu omo ale.”

Reacting to Kizz Daniel’s remark, Tekno fired back, “Hope you are trending now fool! Careful o, breeze blow, fowl nyash dey open. I’m not the one to be played with before I Kattwilliams yours Ass #insecurenarcissist.”

According to BIZTELLERS, this unfolding drama coincides with an ongoing online feud between music icons Wizkid, whose real name is Ayodeji Balogun, and Davido, also known as David Adedeji, which escalated Monday night.

Wizkid had previously made a subtle jab at Davido. In response to a fan’s inquiry on X for new music, Wizkid shared a leaked video purportedly showing Davido in a vulnerable moment, allegedly pleading with a female associate.

Additionally, the Grammy award-winning artist dismissed Don Jazzy, a highly successful music producer and label owner, labeling him merely as an ‘influencer’.

The public feud between these two music titans has reverberated throughout the Nigerian entertainment sphere and beyond, eliciting reactions from fans and observers alike, who have been quick to comment and pledge support for their preferred artist.
