Fake Fertility Nurse Arraigned In Enugu For N28m Fraud
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arraigned Blessing Amaka David-Agwa, accused of posing as a fertility nurse, before the Federal High Court in Enugu.

The EFCC alleges that the defendant, through false pretenses, defrauded multiple victims seeking fertility treatments.
She is accused of forging medical credentials and exploiting vulnerable individuals.
During the court proceedings, David-Agwa pleaded not guilty to all charges.
EFCC counsel, Blessing N. Obasi, urged the court to set a trial date and remand the defendant to the Enugu State Correctional Facility.
However, defense lawyer G.C. Madubuegwu submitted a motion for bail, filed on October 4, 2024, under the provisions of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act.
Madubuegwu appealed for bail on liberal terms, but EFCC counsel objected, citing the gravity of the offense and the emotional harm suffered by victims.
After hearing arguments from both sides, Justice Mohammed Garba Umar adjourned the case to November 12, 2024, for a ruling on the bail application.
In the meantime, the defendant remains in custody at the Enugu Correctional Facility.
