A restaurant owner and Japan based chef, Alan Fisher, has surpassed Nigerian chef Hilda Baci to become the new  world record holder for the longest cooking marathon (individual).

Fisher, who hails from Ireland, achieved this feat by clocking an impressive time of 119 hours and 57 minutes,  thereby surpassing the record set by Baci by over 24 hours.

In addition to his cooking achievement,  Fisher secured the title for the longest baking marathon (individual), boasting a remarkable time of 47 hours and 21 minutes.

This surpasses the previous record held by Wendy Sandner from the USA, whose time was 31 hours and 16 minutes.

Alan Fisher’s remarkable achievement becomes even more extraordinary as he undertook both the cooking and baking marathons consecutively, spending over 160 hours in the kitchen with just over a day of rest in between.

Throughout these endeavors, Alan faced various challenges. During the longest baking marathon (individual) record attempt, his dedication to hand-mixing dough led to posture-related issues, causing tightness and soreness in his back. Despite these obstacles, he persevered in his pursuit of culinary records.

As the longest cooking marathon (individual) record attempt approached its conclusion, Alan Fisher faced the challenges of fatigue and sleepiness, highlighting the physical and mental toll of his remarkable feat.

He said: “I peeled roughly 300 kg of potatoes during the cooking marathon. For the first few days, I would look forward to this each evening as it gave me a chance to sit down.”

Following nine days of intense baking and cooking, Alan Fisher’s efforts resulted in an impressive production of 357 kg of soda bread and 590 kg of various dishes, equating to 3,360 portions spanning 32 recipes.

The culmination of his hard work was rewarded with the attainment of two world record certificates, validating the significance of his culinary achievements.

Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Tyla Laura Seethal, known as Tyla, recently addressed rumors suggesting her affiliation with the Illuminati.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine, she refuted the notion that joining the Illuminati is necessary for achieving success in the music industry.

Tyla emphasized that her rise to stardom is attributed to her talent and hard work, with her faith being a central aspect of her journey.

She clarified that despite speculation, she is not a member of any cult, reaffirming that her accomplishments are rooted in her devotion to God.

She said “People already think I’m in the Illuminati? Oh, now. I know some people think that’s the only way, but it really isn’t. God is the center of everything that we are doing, and clearly, it’s working.”

Discussing her identity as a mixed-race South African in America, Tyla addressed misconceptions about denying her Blackness.

She said “When people are like, ‘You’re denying your Blackness,’ it’s not that at all. I never said I am not Black. It’s just that I grew up as a South African knowing myself as Coloured.

“And now that I’m exposed to more things, it has made me other things too. I’m also mixed-race. I’m also Black. I know people like finding a definition for things, but it’s ‘and,’ not ‘or’.”
