Mohbad’s Wife Pleads For Support Amidst Life Threats

Published

on

Omowunmi, the wife of the deceased singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has made a public plea for assistance amidst claims of threats to her and her son Liam’s safety.

In a viral voice note on social media, she alleged ongoing harassment by an unidentified individual, who has threatened to kill her at the coroner’s inquest.

She also mentioned the negative impact on her late husband’s self-esteem when he spoke out against bullying and was unfairly labeled a drug abuser.

However, she emphasized her determination not to remain silent.

Omowunmi  further requested a court-ordered DNA test to establish Liam’s paternity, amid the ongoing turmoil surrounding her late husband’s legacy.

She said, “I have never done this, because my husband never wanted it. I am not scared to die, but enough is enough. Nigerians, please come to my rescue. They have cursed my son severally and today, they said my son would not live up to the age of one.

“That was the same thing that was done to Mohbad, but nobody helped. Instead, he was labelled a drug dealer. Abuse me all you want. I am used to it, but don’t come for Liam. He is all I have, and I am the only parent he has.

“They are using DNA (test) to keep me shut, but I won’t keep quiet anymore. Please, tell baba (Mohbad’s dad, Joseph) to bring a court order for the DNA test to be done. He has not got the order, because he is happy that my son, who I carried for 10 months, is getting bashed daily.

“Baba sees Liam as a threat, and is using his Mohbad’s death to make money online. He is working with the same people that bullied Mohbad. He has even been seen with the same people that fought with Mohbad 48 hours before his death.”

She further disclosed that it was Mohbad’s father who urged her to conceive a child, citing a vision he had wherein she would bear him a grandchild.
