Police Ban Liverpool Man From Football Grounds After Racist Attack on Semenyo
A 47-year-old man from Liverpool has been banned from attending football matches across the United Kingdom after being accused of racially abusing Bournemouth forward, Antoine Semenyo, during last Friday’s Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield.
The heated fixture, which ended 4-2 in favour of Liverpool, was temporarily halted in the first half when Semenyo reported the abuse to the referee.
Merseyside Police confirmed on Monday that the suspect was arrested the following day on suspicion of a racially aggravated public order offence and later released on bail.

As part of his bail conditions, the man is prohibited from attending any regulated football match in the UK and is barred from coming within a mile of any football stadium. Authorities added that investigations into the incident are still ongoing.
Despite the unpleasant episode, Semenyo, who scored twice in the encounter, expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support he received.
Writing on social media, the Ghanaian international, 25, described the night as “unforgettable” because “the entire football family stood together.”
“Football showed its best side when it mattered most,” Semenyo wrote, thanking his teammates, Liverpool players, supporters, and Premier League officials “for handling the situation professionally.”
