PSG Restores Mbappe to First Team
League One giants, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) has mended fences with want-away striker, Kylian Mbappe and restored him to the first team.
The in-demand French striker had been at daggers-drawn with the owners of the club, with indications rife that he wanted to run down his contract and move on a free to Real Madrid from the 2024 season.
The fiasco had seen the club take drastic measures to compel the striker to extend his contract, due to expire at the end of the 2023-2024 season in the bid to avoid losing the investment they made on the footballer.
It was gathered that PSG found themselves in difficult circumstances with a draw in their opening game of the season against Lorient and fellow star performer, Nyemar Jnr in talks with a Saudi Arabian club.
The club has this morning restored Mbappe to the first team, after banishing him to the reserves, taking-off his details from their website and dropping his shirt sales.
The league one giants took to their verified X handle @PSG_English to announce that Mbappe has been recalled to first team training.
The tweet read, “Following very constructive and positive discussions between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian Mbappe before the PSG – Lorient game, the player has been reinstated into the first team training squad this morning.”
