Your January Salary Is For Me – Pastor Anosike Tells Members [Video]
Pastor John Anosike, President and Senior Pastor of New World Faith Ministries ~ (Spirit Revelation Church), stirred controversy by boldly declaring to his congregation that their January Salaries Belong to him and not the church.
Anosike declared this controversial statement in a recent church service.
Without worrying about criticism, he challenged his followers to give him their January salaries, which is their first offering, not to the church, if they consider him their spiritual father.
According to him, he is an altar, oracle and vessel God has prepared and should be fed by his members.
He went further to say if by middle of the year they didn’t testify he will return their money.
Anosike said: “I want to challenge you by the spirit of God, I fear nobody and I fear no criticism, if you call me your spiritual father, this month’s salary is your first fruit of the year, it is for me not for the church.
“It is for this altar not for church, it is for this oracle, vessel God has prepared (while touching his body) it is for my welfare. If you honor me with the first fruit of your first year by the middle of this year if you don’t testify, come back I will give it back to you.”
The shocking statement was met with a mix of gasps and a loud applaud from the congregation.
His comment has left Netizens perplexed and divided over the legitimacy of such a claim.
Some followers expressed their support, while others questioned the pastor’s rationale for asserting ownership over their January salaries.
The pastor’s declaration has since ignited a heated debate both within and outside the church community, with many questioning the ethicality of diverting members’ hard-earned income for personal gain.
Critics argue that such statements exploit the trust and faith members place in their spiritual leaders.
