2023: Peter Obi working for Tinubu – Reno Omokri
By Paul Eso
A former aide to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri says the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the biggest beneficiary of the Labour Party (LP) Presidential candidate, Peter Obi’s race.
Omokri who disclosed this via his Facebook page, Wednesday. According to him, Obi is unknowingly being used to achieve the presidential ambition of Tinubu.
The post read: “The person who lured Peter Obi to the Labour Party is close to me. He is a man I greatly admire. Peter may not know that this man and Tinubu are 5 and 6. They are connected through business. He is a regular visitor to Tinubu’s home. I know this man well. Very well. I have benefited from him in so many ways. So I can’t mention his name. Even Obi does not know he is being used!
“After the election, if God spares my life, I will publish photos from over a decade ago. The thing is that these Obidients don’t even know half of what is happening behind the scene. They know you guys. They counted on your hysteria. Tinubu’s hand may be shaking. But his cunning is intact! He is just laughing in Bourdillon!
“So, the biggest beneficiary of Peter Obi’s Presidential race is Tinubu, not Obidients. Peter won’t affect APC’s votes. The votes he will likely get are votes that would have naturally gone to PDP, including in the Southeast, some non Yoruba Lagos votes, a chunk of Benue votes, and a few votes in peripheral states.
“There is a lot of hysteria, which has blinded the eyes of the core Obidients. That uncontrollable emotion makes them blind to a lot of things. One of which is that the Yoruba have NEVER voted for a non Yoruba when a Yoruba is in the race. It does not matter whether or not they like the person.

“Another is that the Hausa and Fulani have only ever voted for a Muslim, whether he be from the North or South. You might raise the issue of Jonathan. I was one of the strategists behind President Jonathan’s 2011 victory and we lost in the North. What we were looking for was 25%, which we got in 2011, but could not get in 2015. In fact, we got less than 20% in Kano, Bauchi, and Yobe in 2011.
“And no core Northern governor will risk his political future for a ticket that is seen by Northern masses, rightly or wrongly, to be against their core interests. As extremely popular as he was, Kwankwaso tried it in 2003. Go and ask him what happened to him.
“Tinubu is a master tactician. He knows Peter Obi cannot win. And he knows that very, very little of Peter’s votes, if any at all, will come from him. He is aware that Peter is eating into the PDP’s votes. So, he will promote Obi’s candidacy through proxies. Because that is one of his paths to victory! All he would ask from his Southeast foot soldiers is that they should get him 25% of the votes in at least 2 Southeastern states. And he will get it in Imo and Ebonyi, by hook or crook!”

Okpebholo Moves To End Indiscriminate Parking, Gridlock In Edo State
Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has charged the Managing Director of the Edo State Traffic Control Management Agency (EDSTMA), Engr. Stainless Ijeghede on indiscriminate parking and traffic gridlock, especially in market areas.
According to a statement in Benin City on Friday, by Chief Press Secretary to Edo State Governor, Fred Itua, his principal gave the charge while decorating Ijeghede with his new rank as the head of EDSTMA.
He noted that while addressing the new Managing Director and his personnel at the Exco Chambers in Government House, Gov Okpebholo pointed out that the agency should do its job well by ensuring free flow of traffic across the state.
He called on Ijeghede and men of the agency to ensure they checked indiscriminate parking of vehicles and buses, especially in market areas.
“Edo State belongs to all of us and whatever we are doing, we should do it with care not to harm anybody. I appeal to EDSTMA to ensure that the city is well kept because whenever I drive round town, I see vehicles everywhere as the city is not well kept.
“This is your primary assignment. You should ensure the city is well kept as vehicles park indiscriminately and they are causing obstruction. Traffic is not flowing as it should and it is causing serious gridlock. Is it that you are not doing your job well?

Monitor markets very well as these areas are looking really unkempt with vehicles and buses parked indiscriminately, causing traffic gridlock. Edo people are worst hit. They suffer from this. Ensure free flow of traffic so that the people will be happy,” Governor Okpebholo emphasized.
