Denrele admits late Goldie Harvey had an affair with him

By Eunice Oluwafunmilayo

Popular Nigerian media personality, Denrele Edun, sparked outrage on air after he alleged that he had few intimate moments with his late friend, singer Goldie Harvey, notwithstanding her marital status.

Goldie, a Nigerian singer, died at the age of 31 from “hypertensive heart disease” that resulted in a “intracerebral haemorrhage.”

Denrele said that he and the late Goldie were in an intimate relationship when she was married in a recent tell-all interview with Neecee Boss TV.

Denrele said;

I have not shared this anyway butu let me say this now..

My beautiful late friend, Goldie, a lot of people thought we were just friends but we had a few intimate moments.

I knew she was married of course, we kept that secret but we had a few intimate moments that made us enter the corner.

However, social media users have slammed Denrele’s claim, saying it’s rude of him to tap into her memory with such details.

One user identify as @DrRayoWright wrote: Dear Denrele, your allegation that you had an extramarital affair with Goldie is disrespectful. Of course, there were suspicions of your ‘besties’ shenanigans. However, harnessing her memory, to deflect from rumours about your sexuality, is a betrayal. Gutter behaviour. Tueh.

Another user @Ridwanullahii also chastised Denrele said: Denrele really messed up with that nonsense talk. It was absolutely unnecessary and unprovoked. No, you shouldn’t do that to anybody talk less of a person you called your friend. Now, you’ve gotten the attention you ordered for, what do you want to do with it?

More so, @joshomaiye wrote: Denrele slept with a married woman he was doing “bestie” with…who is now dead…no one knew, not even the husband as at the time, but the antelope has spilled this mad info because as always, attention is a drug. What a crazy time to be alive. No respect at all.

In a widely circulated interview on Arise TV on Sunday evening, Sowore revealed that, although his passport was returned, one of his bags—specifically a large one—was still unaccounted for.

Sowore further disclosed that he is awaiting further clarification on the bag’s whereabouts and hopes no foul play was involved.

He said, “After they gave me back my seized passport I went to get my bag. Of course one of my bags was missing. My big bag.

“I hope it’s not the DSS that stole it. It is missing but after reaching out to the airline to look for it. The airline said the tracker on my phone from the America shows that the bag arrived. But like I said, I hope they didn’t try to do something stupid with my bag.”
