Whitemoney, former Big Brother Naija winner and musician, has announced a shocking change of heart, abandoning his long-held ambition to win a Grammy Award.

In a recent interview with content creator Egungun, Whitemoney revealed that he no longer covets the prestigious American music award, citing concerns that it has been compromised and lost its value.

Instead, he has set his sights on the local Headies Awards, a more humble and meaningful recognition in his eyes.

He said, “The way things are going now, Grammy don cast. Make we manage Headies. I’m not sure if I’m still pursuing my desire of winning Grammys. Now I’m pursuing any award that keeps me relevant.

“Because after what Grammy organisers did to our superstars, Davido and Burna Boy at the last award ceremony, it’s now looking like they are using Nigeria for publicity stunt. But never say never. My style of music is unique. If it takes me to the Grammys, no wahala.”

Recall that last year, Whitemoney proudly proclaimed that his hit single “Oyoyo” deserves a Grammy Award.

With unwavering confidence, he asserted that the song has cemented its status as the “biggest song” in Eastern Nigeria, a testament to its widespread popularity and critical acclaim.

In an interview with Cosmopolitan Magazine, she refuted the notion that joining the Illuminati is necessary for achieving success in the music industry.

Tyla emphasized that her rise to stardom is attributed to her talent and hard work, with her faith being a central aspect of her journey.

She clarified that despite speculation, she is not a member of any cult, reaffirming that her accomplishments are rooted in her devotion to God.

She said “People already think I’m in the Illuminati? Oh, now. I know some people think that’s the only way, but it really isn’t. God is the center of everything that we are doing, and clearly, it’s working.”

She said “When people are like, ‘You’re denying your Blackness,’ it’s not that at all. I never said I am not Black. It’s just that I grew up as a South African knowing myself as Coloured.

“And now that I’m exposed to more things, it has made me other things too. I’m also mixed-race. I’m also Black. I know people like finding a definition for things, but it’s ‘and,’ not ‘or’.”
