Queen Of Rock ‘n’ Roll’ Tina Turner Dies At 83
American-born singer, Tina Turner, better known as the “Queen of Rock ‘n’ Roll,” has passed away on Wednesday at the age of 83.
Turner, who started her career in the 1950s and rose to become one of the most successful recording artists of all time, died peacefully in her home in Küsnacht near Zurich, Switzerland, after a long illness, according to her representative.
Born Anna Mae Bullock on November 26, 1939, in Nutbush, Tennessee, Turner overcame a difficult upbringing and an abusive relationship to achieve global fame.
She made her mark during the early years of rock and roll and became an iconic figure in the 1980s with hits like “What’s Love Got to Do with It,” “The Best,” and “Private Dancer.”
Known for her powerful voice and electrifying performances, Turner won numerous accolades, including eight Grammy Awards. She inspired generations of artists and remained a symbol of resilience and triumph throughout her career.
Turner’s death has led to an outpouring of tributes from fellow musicians and fans worldwide.
Mick Jagger of the Rolling Stones described her as “enormously talented” and expressed his sadness at her passing.
Canadian singer Bryan Adams, who collaborated with Turner on the hit song “It’s Only Love,” praised her as a “powerhouse of a woman” and thanked her for being an inspiration.
Turner’s music and legacy will continue to resonate, ensuring that her impact on the music industry will be remembered for years to come.

Florence Otedola, known as DJ Cuppy, a renowned disc jockey and daughter of Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola, has made history as the first Nigerian to host an opening session at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
Cuppy moderated the Youth Action Day at the 2024, UNGA, themed “The Summit of the Future – Youth Actions Day.”

Cuppy also delivered a musical performance after her keynote session.

The nightlifer, who recently married his longtime girlfriend, Thayour B, warned that it can be dangerous to do so, as the information found on a partner’s phone could lead to emotional distress or even pose a risk to one’s mental well-being and life.

Speaking in a video message shared via his Instagram account, Yhemolee said, “My friend called me this morning and told me his fiancée is in the hospital struggling to breathe.
“I asked if she had any terminal illness and he said no. He said she checked his phone overnight. My point is, stop checking your partner’s phone, if you die, the person that made you lose your life will move on.
“My friend confirmed to me that if his fiancée went through his phone very well, she might not survive and even if she survives, whenever she remembers what she saw, she would be traumatised.”
