Mohbad’s Father Alleges Threats To Life From Daughter-in-law, Femi Falana
Joseph Aloba, the father of the late musician Mohbad, has voiced serious concerns over alleged threats to his life by his daughter-in-law, Wunmi, and her legal counsel, Femi Falana.
The dispute revolves around the possessions and paternity of Mohbad’s child, Liam, as Mr Aloba and Wunmi find themselves embroiled in a contentious battle.
Speaking during an interview with Max FM, Mr Aloba expressed his distress, stating, “I need justice for my son, and I want people to support me. This delay in obtaining the autopsy report and other proceedings could lead to denial. I don’t trust anyone right now. Even with the threats [Femi] Falana and his client [my daughter-in-law] used to threaten me, I’m unable to sleep. I need help, and I want people to support me because the autopsy is going to be done by a private facility.”
Mr Aloba further revealed the impact of the alleged threats on his daily life, saying, “I don’t know where to live now because of the threats. Yesterday, when I heard a knock on my gate, I was scared that it might be the people Wunmi said want to come and kill me. And Falana is still on her side.”
He went on to detail a chilling phone call from Wunmi, where she reportedly threatened his life. “She called me, threatening me when I was at the mountain with a strange line. She said she can kill me. And I recorded the call. Falana is aware of this. Despite all this, he is still standing by her side. He is even preventing people from helping me, attempting to silence those speaking the truth. It seems to be a manipulation for financial gain, and we are from the same Ekiti State.”
The situation raises concerns about the well-being of Mohbad’s family, as they grapple with the aftermath of the musician’s demise.
