Being Married As Virgin Doesn’t Stop Divorce – Sarah Martins

Published

on

Nollywood actress, Chukwukere Sarah Ujunwa, better known as, Sarah Martins has stated that going into marriage as a virgin does neither guarantees successful marriage nor prevents divorce.

The 32-year-old actress expressed her view via her official Instagram page while countering a claim by celebrity writer and influencer, Solomon Buchi.

It all started when an Instagram user simply known as @Anthony not Joshua questioned the uniqueness of marrying a virgin. He said, “I don’t know what’s so special about marrying a virgin”.

Replying to the post, writer and social media influencer, Solomon Buchi disapproved of the statement while he alleged that virgins have the lowest divorce rate compared to those who have experienced multiple partners.

Buchi said, “Virgins have the lowest divorce rates. Women who marry as virgins have a 65% chance of having a very happy marriage than their non-virgin counterparts. “When it comes to sex, less experience is better, at least for the marriage,” – institute for family studies.

“Non-virgins are projected to suffer more economic lack, low self-esteem, academic failure, and bad relationship choices. In this pornographic world, virginity is proof of discipline and focus. If anyone should be embarrassed, it should be the other party that revels in sexual promiscuity.

“71% of men who have only slept with their spouse reported satisfaction with their marriage, while 64% of women who’ve only had sex with their spouse say they’re happy in their marriage. Women who’ve had 6 to 10 sexual partners were 13 percent less likely to report marital happiness. For men who have slept with more than 21 partners, they were 15 percent less likely to say they were satisfied with their marriage.

“There’s nothing shameful about marrying on a clean slate. Most sexual problems in marriage stem from past sexual experiences. Lastly, even if there was no benefit of virginity, we ought to stay virgin till marriage because God commanded it. God is wise, I’d rather follow Him than follow the bandwagon. Stop trying to ridicule virtue just because you lack it.”

However Sarah Martins replied Buchi, saying; “Dear Solomon Buchi, I was married as a virgin at the age of 19. I am still a loyal, submissive, respectful, hardworking woman. Getting married as a virgin will never stop you from getting a divorce if the need arises.. if e no good for your health quit! Some of us are different from what we portray online…Stop the comparison already! The fact you got married to a virgin shouldn’t be an avenue to talk down on other people! We are all unique in our ways! And yes, I was married as a virgin so what’s the jubilation about????? Mtcheeew less”(sic)

Sarah Martins is currently not married after divorcing her ex husband. She is a mother of two children – 2 sons from her crashed marriage. She keeps her boyfriend and relationship away from social media.
