Abdullahi Ganduje, the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has dismissed claims linking him to a 2027 presidential bid alongside Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma.

The rumor gained traction after a poster surfaced on social media, depicting Ganduje as a presidential candidate and Uzodimma as his running mate.

The poster, captioned “The Winning Team 2027. Vote APC 2027. For Nigerians, prosperity and human development,” shows Ganduje dressed in blue traditional attire, with Uzodimma in white and a red cap.

In a statement released on Sunday by his spokesperson, Edwin Olofu, Ganduje described the poster as entirely false and a deliberate attempt to create discord between him and President Bola Tinubu.

The former Kano State Governor reaffirmed his commitment to Tinubu’s administration, stressing that the president is guiding the country toward growth and stability.

Ganduje urged the public to disregard the poster, labeling it a malicious fabrication aimed at causing confusion within the party.

The statement reads, “This is to inform the general public that the poster currently circulating on social media, claiming that the APC national chairman, Abdullahi Ganduje, is contesting for the presidency in 2027 with Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, as his running mate, is entirely false and a malicious piece of fake news.

“The All Progressives Congress wishes to categorically state that this is the work of mischief-makers, likely in collaboration with certain elements within the Kwankwassiyya movement, who are determined to create disaffection between Dr. Ganduje and His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

“For the avoidance of doubt, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje remains unwaveringly loyal to President Tinubu and is fully committed to supporting the President’s vision and leadership. Dr. Ganduje believes that President Tinubu is on the right trajectory to steer Nigeria towards greater prosperity and unity.”
