In a video observed by Church Times on January 10, Joseph David, a disciple of the late Televangelist Prophet TB Joshua, made a significant statement.

David contended that Ajoke, a prominent figure in the recent BBC broadcast shedding light on TB Joshua’s activities, was not biologically related to the late prophet.

This revelation introduces a new perspective to the ongoing discussions surrounding TB Joshua’s legacy.

David, who asserted his 27-year association with the late TB Joshua and disclosed his role as a trustee of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), revealed further details.

According to him, Ajoke was left near the church premises as an infant, abandoned by her mother.

Instead of taking her to an orphanage, Prophet TB Joshua chose to adopt and raise her after reporting the case to the police for documentation.

David emphasized that while TB Joshua had three biological children, Ajoke was considered an adopted daughter by the late prophet.

He said “Ajoke later grew up to the admiration of everybody in SCOAN. But suddenly she became rebellious and everybody was fed up with her until she left. All her records are in the SCOAN archives.”

David, addressing the allegations presented in the BBC documentary against TB Joshua, asserted that he deemed it unnecessary to refute them, as he believed they were fabricated.

However, he emphasized his moral responsibility to set the record straight on certain aspects that he considered convincing pieces of evidence, challenging the credibility of the claims made against the late Televangelist.

David refuted the claim that TB Joshua prohibited disciples from marrying while in the Church, clarifying that the late Televangelist only advised them to prioritize their careers before marriage.

Addressing the testimony of Angeline in the BBC documentary, he disclosed that she left the ministry to marry a disciple, a decision not supported by TB Joshua.

David alleged that Angeline returned years later stating “he raped me, he slept with me, with a hidden camera.”

David highlighted another case related to marriage, involving Agomoh Paul, an evangelist slated to lead the church branch in Ghana.

He stated that Paul, desiring to marry the daughter of a Regional Overseer against TB Joshua’s wishes, was dissuaded by the prophet which reportedly caused discontentment, leading to Paul’s exit from the church.

David said, “TB Joshua soon got to know Paul’s mind was no longer in the Church. Rather than continue to feel disgruntled, the prophet prayed for him and released him to leave the ministry.”

On Bisola, he said, “She was continuously unbearable until one day the Prophet asked her to bring her mother. When her mother came, she thanked the prophet and said to him, I know you are a true man of God. Bisola is my daughter, I know her very well, I don’t think you can tame her.”
