Nigerian singer and pastor, Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has shared a testimony of resilience and faith as he undergoes a fourth successful surgery in his ongoing battle with skin cancer.

The artist took to his Instagram page on Thursday to publicly disclose his journey, hoping to inspire and encourage others facing similar challenges.

He wrote, “Final Score Christ 4 Cancer Tumors 0.

“Sometimes, your faith in God will not prevent the storms from coming… but it will carry you through them. Faith won’t always stop you from hurting, but it will help you heal, and it will help you deal.

“God never said the weapons wouldn’t form, He promised that they wouldn’t prosper. He never said the enemy wouldn’t come… He promised that when the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of God would raise a standard against him.

“Posting this testimony to encourage anyone out there who is going through a challenge. It might seem bigger than you, but greater is He that is in you than anything you will face in this world.”

The singer appreciated his wife, family, friends, pastors, and doctors for their “love, prayers, and support”.

He added, “We have the victory yet again. Now and forever, in Jesus’ name.”

In 2017, Banky W had undergone a third surgery for a rare strain of skin cancer, which had initially appeared a decade prior.

The musician-turned-pastor shared his journey with fans to raise awareness and encourage others facing similar battles.

Now, in 2024, Banky W has once again demonstrated his resilience by successfully undergoing a fourth surgery in his ongoing fight against skin cancer.

As for me, I’d rather be as rich as those men who must pay me for being beautiful. Being rich is not the birthright of men alone. I’d rather be their contemporary than waiting for their handouts.

“So, instead of waiting for men’s charity, I’d rather start early to fight for my dreams, build my business(es), break boundaries, and if God allows, shatter tables,” she added
