Oba Gabriel Adekunle Aromolaran, the first-class Owa-Obokun of Ijesaland in Osun State, has passed away.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Chief Yinka Fasuyi, Asiwaju of Ijesaland, on Thursday in Osogbo, the state capital.

Prior to this confirmation, there had been concerns about Oba Aromolaran’s health, as he was reported to be unwell.

A tragic incident occurred on Sunday at a church in Lagos State, leaving worshippers in shock as Ifeoma, a 55-year-old woman, slumped and died after sharing a testimony during the church service.

The Lagos State Police Command confirmed the incident on Wednesday, stating that it happened at 8:48 am on Sunday in the Ejigbo area of the state.

According to eyewitnesses, Ifeoma was giving her testimony when she suddenly collapsed.

Emergency responders rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was referred to a hospital in Isolo for further treatment. Unfortunately, she was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The spokesperson said, “The accountant reported that during testimony hour in the church, while the service was on, Ifeoma came out singing songs to give her testimony when she suddenly slumped.

“She was quickly taken to a nearby hospital but was referred to a hospital in Isolo where she was confirmed dead.”

Police spokesperson SP Benjamin Hundeyin confirmed that detectives were sent to investigate but found that the family had already taken the body to Anambra for burial.

The incident is still under investigation.
