Renowned Nollywood actor, John Okarfor, famously known as Mr Ibu, has tragically passed away at the age of 62.

The veteran comedian breathed his last at Evercare Hospital, as confirmed by sources close to him.

Mr Ibu, beloved for his comedic roles, leaves behind a legacy cherished by fans worldwide.

While the exact cause of his demise remains shrouded in uncertainty, reports gathered by Biztellers indicate that Mr Ibu had been battling health challenges since October 2023, undergoing multiple surgeries, including the amputation of his leg.

Despite initial signs of recovery reported by his family in November, his health took a devastating turn.

This sorrowful news comes in the wake of another loss to the Nollywood community, with the recent passing of Quadri Oyebamiji, popularly known as Sisi Quadri, adding to the somber mood within the industry.

Singer Spryo Admits He Avoids Being Alone With Nengi

Nigerian singer, Oludipe Oluwasanmi David, known professionally as Spryo, has openly expressed his admiration for Big Brother Naija star Nengi Hampson, while humourously revealing why he avoids being alone with her.

In a recent Instagram post, Spryo recounted an interview where he was asked which female celebrity he would avoid being alone with.

He named Nengi, jokingly stating that he tries not to act like Jesus but as His follower, he steers clear of temptation.

Spryo wrote, “An interviewer recently asked me, which female in this industry would you never allow yourself to be left in a room with? Guess who I named? That would be Nengi. I don’t like to pretend to be like Jesus, I am just His follower, not Him. So, I flee from every appearance of Nengi to avoid getting into trouble.”

He further recalled an encounter with her at a show where she sat opposite him. The “Who Is Your Guy” singer admitted that he had to continuously rebuke the devil in his mind until he eventually left the venue.

“Humnnn… I saw her at a show; she sat right opposite me and I kept rebuking the devil to leave my head until I had to run,” he added.
