While Arteta expressed hope that all three could be fit to play, he remained non-committal about their availability. “We are doing everything possible to have them ready, but there’s still a lot of uncertainty,” he acknowledged.
He stated that Saka, a key player for the Gunners, has been spotted training on the grass, but Arteta was cautious.
“He has done some work, but how much he can contribute by Sunday is still unclear,” he said.
Speaking on Calafiori’s injury, Arteta disclosed that the player is undergoing additional tests to determine his condition.
“He had some assessments yesterday, and further tests are scheduled today. We’ll know more after that,” Arteta explained.
Arteta also highlighted the uncertainty surrounding Timber’s condition, stating, “Today marks his first training session where he could potentially take part. He’s been out for some time, so we need to monitor his progress closely.”
As Arsenal gears up for the showdown against Liverpool, the potential return of these players could significantly impact their performance and strategy on the pitch.

The delegation, led by Emeruwa, was expected to assess facilities in Lagos and Abuja as part of efforts to evaluate the country’s readiness to host the two events.
The inspection also followed an earlier visit by CAF officials in August, when Sanwo-Olu expressed confidence in Lagos’s readiness to host the awards after a delegation inspected the Wole Soyinka Centre for Culture and Creative Arts, formerly known as the National Theatre, in Iganmu.
The 2026 CAF Awards are scheduled to hold in Lagos on December 7, while Abuja is expected to host the CAF Ordinary General Assembly on November 21.
