‘We will happily guide Tinubu to Aso Rock on May 29th’- Gov Bello

The All Progressives Congress (APC) members, led by Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello, will escort the party’s presidential candidate Bola Tinubu to the Presidential Villa in Abuja on May 29th with great enthusiasm, the Governor announced on Friday.
Governor Bello referred to the APC’s presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, as the future president during a press conference with State House correspondents, after a private meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House in Abuja.
Governor Bello, when asked about the likelihood of Tinubu winning the February 25th presidential election, he replied that Tinubu has the backing of 21 governors from the APC. He also emphasized Tinubu’s ability to positively impact the lives of Nigerians and his reputation as a doer and builder.
Governor Bello praised Tinubu’s achievements in building not only physical structures, but also people and nations. He also noted that Tinubu has clearly articulated his plans for the future, and that his administration will be largely run by the younger generation, who make up a significant portion of the electorate in the upcoming election.
Governor Bello explained that the electorate is more enlightened and recognizes that Tinubu has a clear vision for the future, and they are willing to follow him. He also noted that Tinubu is President Muhammadu Buhari’s chosen candidate, and that the President is actively campaigning for Tinubu, and will continue to support him in building on the foundation that has been laid.
When asked about the success behind the legacy projects inaugurated by the President, Governor Bello attributed it to President Buhari’s quick action and focus on infrastructure, security, and good governance from the moment he took office. He also mentioned that he followed the same approach and made sure to provide infrastructure for the people.

JUST IN: Court Nullifies Removal Of Lagos Assembly Speaker Obasa

The Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja has declared the removal of the reinstated Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa, as illegal, unconstitutional, null, and void.
Delivering judgment on Wednesday, the court also set aside all proceedings and resolutions passed by the House on January 13, 2025, the day Obasa was removed from office.
Obasa had dragged the Lagos State House of Assembly and Mojisola Meranda — who was appointed Speaker following his removal — before the court, challenging the legality of the action.

In its ruling, the court held that the process leading to Obasa’s removal did not comply with constitutional provisions, rendering the exercise invalid.
The judgment effectively reinstates Obasa as the legitimate Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, while invalidating all legislative actions carried out during Meranda’s brief tenure.

According to Okpebholo “just like Edo, Delta is ready to witness practical governance under APC.”
Beaming with joy, Gov Okpebholo added, “It is our turn to shine in the South South. It is now your turn in Delta. It is happening here, as it happened in Edo State. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is doing very well for the nation. He is repairing the foundation of the country for better prosperity. Because of that, in Edo State, we have started. We said 2027 is already possible. It is also possible here in Delta. I am here to welcome my brother, Chiedu Ebie.
“Chiedu is an intelligent young man who knows when to move. It is time for Delta to move, and it is starting here with Ika people.”
