Martinelli, Zinchenko Ruled Out For Arsenal’s Remaining Season Matches
Mikel Arteta, Arsenal’s manager, has officially stated that both Gabriel Martinelli and Oleksandr Zinchenko will not be participating for the remainder of this season.
Mikel Arteta disclosed this during his press conference on Friday, ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming match against Nottingham Forest.
Arteta confirmed that Gabriel Martinelli sustained an ankle injury as a result of a tackle by Moises Caicedo from Brighton during their previous match.
Oleksandr Zinchenko, who was not included in Mikel Arteta’s matchday squad for the game at the Emirates, will also be unavailable for the remaining fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Arteta confirmed that Zinchenko has a calf issue, which will prevent him from participating in the upcoming games.
Arteta further stated that Gabriel Martinelli’s injury is significant, and a more accurate assessment of the duration of his absence will be made next week, but it is expected that he will be out of action for at least a few weeks.
“They are both out for the rest of the season. Gabi is a pretty nasty injury, we need to assess next week how long, but he will be out for at least weeks.
“With Alex, he has a calf issue and he won’t be able to play the next few games,” Arteta said.

Emergency services also confirmed that another youth was injured in the collapse, while several others sustained injuries as rescue teams rushed to the scene.
Local media reported that the fountain gave way under the weight of dozens of fans who had climbed onto the structure to celebrate Spain’s World Cup triumph.
