Mike Bamiloye Backs Adeboye’s Apology On Tithing Misinterpretation

Published

on

Mike Bamiloye, founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, has expressed support for Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God following his public apology regarding teachings on tithing.

Bamiloye acknowledged that it was no small feat for Pastor Adeboye to openly apologize for his earlier statements about tithe payment.

Pastor Adeboye recently admitted that he had made a mistake in his previous teachings, where he had said that those who don’t pay tithe would not make it to heaven. He clarified that the Bible does not support this claim and instead emphasizes that living a peaceful and holy life is essential for entering heaven.

In response, Bamiloye noted,“Daddy E.A. Adeboye made a statement and the Lord corrected him before he came out in the open to correct himself at the Lord’s instruction.

“You think it is easy for a man of such global status to come out in the open to apologise if God had not corrected him in the secret?

“It is only a person who has heaven in focus and eternity in heaven in view that would count it important to do that.

“If you like, make jest of him. If you like, drag him on the ground for doing what the Lord had instructed him to do. Baba has heaven in his focus, and that is why he doesn’t care about earthly honour or human ego.

“It takes humility for a man of global status as this to come out and apologise. Only God could have spoken to such a man.

“Because God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble (James 4:6).”

“It is with overwhelming sadness that we confirm that Mark ‘Yinka’ Orabiyi professionally known as Talay Riley passed away yesterday morning,” the family said.

They described him as a Grammy Award-winning and multi-platinum-selling songwriter and artist whose humour, generosity and presence touched countless lives.

“We are deeply grateful for the enormous outpouring of love and support that we have received through messages, calls and visits over the past hours,” the statement added.

Talay, the brother of renowned music producer Scribz Riley, built a successful career spanning more than a decade in the R&B music industry.
