Nigerians knock Keyamo for posting fake APC campaign rally
By Paul Eso
Nigerians have called out the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, for sharing what many of them tagged fake.
The minister of state for labour and employment shared a video from a rally that he claimed took place in one town in Kogi State.
Keyamo had on Sunday, October 2, shared a video on his verified Twitter handle with the caption: “We showed them how to do a proper march today in just one town in Kogi; no borrowed crowd; everyone here has a PVC (go and verify ). This is organised by proper ‘structures’, not ‘keypad activists’! Gradually, we shall separate the boys from the men!”

Those who reacted to the video Nigerians described it as fake, calling the minister a liar.
Many pointed out the video was from Yahaya Bello’s 2019 rally in Kogi state. Some also noted that the one Keyamo shared was edited.
@Balogund said: “Keyamo why are you stooping so low that you can also engage in cheap lies. Common! I don’t have expectations for you, but acting like a bear parlour nuisance shouldn’t be your primary.
Also, @leinad_o added: “FAKE NEWS: The APC rally in Kogi wasn’t yesterday & wasn’t for TINUBU. The 1st pic is the 2019 Gubernatorial campaign for Yahaya Bello & is deputy, the 2nd screenshot is an edited video showing Tinubu. The 3rd screenshot is the current state of Kogi Central.”
@_patrioticguy told the minister “We already separated the boys from the men when we hosted rallies yesterday in Lagos and several other parts of Nig.The independence celebration hosted by the Lagos govt was empty. We are no longer in your league Mr Festus. Know this and know peace.
@el_incredibilis added “You’re obviously frightened, from posting an old video to using misleading caption to claiming they all have PVC, have some shame this boy. The people you’re sacrificing your reputation (if any) for do not even rate you, ain’t you embarrassed? Have some introspection dude. Cheers”
