Online Clash: Wizkid, Davido’s War Of Words Continues
The online feud between musical icons Ayodeji Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, and David Adedeji, also known as Davido, escalated on Monday night.
Wizkid threw shade at Davido by posting a leaked video of him allegedly pleading with a female associate, in response to a fan’s request for new music.
Additionally, Wizkid dismissed the Grammy award-winning singer Don Jazzy as merely an ‘influencer’.
This sparked controversy on social media, with many speculating about the underlying issues between the two artists.
On Monday night, Davido countered the digital jabs thrown by Wizkid with a barrage of cryptic tweets, seemingly aimed at the “Ojuelegba” hitmaker.
In one tweet, Davido quipped, “Dem no know your Gbedu,” presumably directed at Wizkid, who had previously announced plans to release his highly anticipated “Morayo” album in May.
Undeterred, the “Aiye” singer continued with another tweet stating, “When light comes, darkness vanishes. Let’s get active,” further fueling speculation about the ongoing rivalry between the two musical heavyweights.
Adding to the mix, Davido shared a video featuring his wife, Chioma Adeleke, accompanied by the caption, “They were trying to distract us, baby no mind dem.”
In retaliation, Wizkid began with a scathing tweet, ridiculing Davido and his entourage, including his alleged songwriter, and dismissing their musical achievements.
He wrote “U and all ur crew plus ur pant washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking you got anything on me in music 🤣😂 wish u all well ✌️”
He followed it up with another tweet, “U know what..no point. delusional niggas 😇 pray for y’all.”
Davido swiftly responded, denying any delusion and accusing Wizkid of being “sick.”
He wrote “WE NOT DELUSIONAL YOU’RE A SICK MAN. ”
Despite their recent friendly encounter, the tension between the two superstars escalated further when the “Jaiye Jaiye” crooner, Wizkid, fearlessly reposted the tweet along with the same leaked video of Davido.
This rift comes as a surprise to many, especially considering their recent public display of camaraderie when they were spotted embracing in a Lagos nightclub.
Prior to this reconciliation, Wizkid had even announced plans for a joint tour with his rival back in 2023.
Taking to his Instagram story, he revealed that the tour would follow the release of his fifth studio album, ‘More Love, Less Ego (MLLE)’, which debuted in mid-2023.
He wrote “After my MLLE tour!! Davido and I going on tour! save your coins! I no wan hear him.”
While celebrated as Nigeria’s top musical exports, Wizkid and Davido’s relationship has frequently been marked by frostiness and discord.

Diddy to Leave Prison Earlier Than Expected as Release Date Changes Again
Sean “Diddy” Combs could be released from prison earlier than previously expected after his projected release date was moved forward again.
According to the latest listing from the U.S. Federal Bureau of Prisons, the 56-year-old music mogul is now projected to leave the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey, on February 5, 2028.
The latest adjustment moves his projected release date forward by more than two weeks from the previously listed date of February 20, 2028.

Combs’ release date has reportedly been revised several times since he began serving his 50-month federal prison sentence in October 2025.
His initial projected release date was June 2028 before subsequent changes moved it forward to April, February and January. It was later adjusted to February 20, 2028, before the latest change to February 5.
The reason for the repeated changes remains unclear.
The Federal Bureau of Prisons has previously said it does not comment on individual inmates’ confinement conditions, release plans or the reasons behind changes to projected release dates, citing privacy, safety and security concerns.
Diddy’s Prison Sentence
Combs is serving his sentence after a federal jury found him guilty in 2025 on two counts of transporting individuals across state lines for prostitution.
However, he was acquitted of the more serious charges of racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking.
A judge subsequently sentenced the rapper and entertainment executive to four years and two months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release.
Reported Altercation at Fort Dix
The latest release-date adjustment comes weeks after reports that Combs was involved in an altercation with another inmate at the New Jersey prison.
Reports cited by the Daily Mail alleged that Combs and the inmate initially pushed each other before punches were exchanged. Guards reportedly intervened, and Combs was subsequently placed in solitary confinement.
Prison officials have not publicly confirmed the details of the alleged incident.
Combs’ representatives have previously denied reports that he violated prison rules, maintaining that the Bad Boy Entertainment founder was focused on sobriety, self-discipline and personal growth while serving his sentence.
For now, the Bureau of Prisons lists February 5, 2028, as Combs’ projected release date.
However, the date could still change.

‘I’ll Control Him’ — Ayra Starr Reveals What Happens If She’s Richer Than Her Partner
Nigerian singer Ayra Starr has sparked a debate over money and power in relationships after revealing how she would behave if she were financially richer than her male partner.
The “Bloody Samaritan” hitmaker shared her views on financial disparity in relationships while speaking on an episode of the Wahala podcast.

Ayra Starr said that if she dates a man who is not as wealthy as she is, she would naturally have control over him because of her financial advantage.
According to the singer, however, being richer than her partner would not mean he would be exempted from providing for her.
“If I date a man who I am richer than, I will control him. But even if I am richer, he will still be providing, and I won’t let him know I have a lot of money,” she said.
Ayra Starr also disclosed that she would deliberately keep the extent of her wealth away from such a partner, meaning he would not necessarily know that she has substantial financial resources.
Her comments have since generated mixed reactions from members of the public.
While some people agreed with the singer’s position, arguing that “it is a man’s job to provide” regardless of how much his female partner earns, others criticised her stance.
Critics particularly questioned her decision to hide her financial status from a future partner, arguing that openness about finances is an important part of a relationship.
The singer’s comments have consequently reignited conversations about financial power, control, transparency and traditional gender expectations in relationships.
The debate also comes amid growing conversations about changing gender roles, as more women attain financial independence and, in some cases, earn significantly more than their male partners.
Ayra Starr, who has established herself as one of Nigeria’s prominent Afrobeats artistes, continues to attract attention both for her music and her outspoken comments on issues surrounding relationships and society.
