We Have Osimhen For Two Extra Years — De Laurentiis
Despite mounting interest in the football services of Victor Osimhen, across the world, Napoli has come out to say that they have him tied to a contract for a further two years.
This revelation was made when Napoli officially unveiled Rudi Garcia as new boss, after Luciano Spalletti opted to take a sabbatical.
The media had raised the status of Napoli’s star striker at the briefing.
De Laurentiis said, “We already talked to Osimhen before the Scudetto celebration, so we already have a basic agreement on a two-year extension of his contract.
“I have said for a while that Osimhen has to stay. Then, if an offer came in that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, as is only natural.”
Biztellers reports that Osimhen, who already spent three years at Napoli, has also made it public that his ‘dream’ is to play in the Premier League.
It is generally believed that Napoli would be looking to recoup at least £100m for their most prized asset, who was brought in, in for about €80m back in 2020.
The Nigerian played a major role in guiding Napoli to their first Serie A title for more than 30 years, where his 26 goals and four assists in the league made much difference.
It also earned him the top scorer award in the Serie A.
Speculations are that the Naples-based club might want to build on that success during 2023/24, which would fuel the desire to keep the hard-fighting Nigeria international for as long as possible.
But with Osimhen approaching the last two years of his current deal, the 24-year-old is not short of admirers across Europe.
Among his leading admirers are Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
Football pundits have it that Real Madrid would be waiting to pounce if their focus on Paris Saint-Germain’s Kylian Mbappe does not go in their favour.
On their own, PSG are speculated to want to invest what they realise from the Mbappe deal to bring Osimhen to France.

“The city hall of Ciudad Rodrigo expresses its sadness and presents its condolences for the death of a boy of 13.”
The municipality described the incident as a devastating turn of events, saying: “What should have been a celebration of Spain’s team in the football World Cup turned into tragedy.”
Emergency services also confirmed that another youth was injured in the collapse, while several others sustained injuries as rescue teams rushed to the scene.
Local media reported that the fountain gave way under the weight of dozens of fans who had climbed onto the structure to celebrate Spain’s World Cup triumph.
The fatal accident cast a somber mood over celebrations across the football-loving nation, with many expressing grief just hours after Spain’s memorable victory on the world stage.
