Woman, Daughters Found Dead In Lagos Shop
The Lagos State Police Command is currently investigating the mysterious deaths of a woman and her two daughters inside a shop located in the PPL, Ijagun Okokomaiko area.
The identities of the deceased have not been confirmed at this time as it was discovered that the three individuals had been locked inside the shop for two days before their lifeless bodies were discovered.
Local residents have put forward two possible causes of death. Some speculate that generator fumes may have been the cause, while others suspect food poisoning. The exact cause of their demise remains unknown.
Following Islamic traditions, the bodies of the deceased have been laid to rest. The police are continuing their investigation to unravel the circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.
According to a witness who requested to remain anonymous due to concerns of potential reprisal, he became aware of the incident while he was out purchasing breakfast.
He said, “On Friday night, the woman locked herself in the shop with her daughters while the generator was on. On Saturday, someone passed by and still saw the shop locked with the generator on.
“On Monday morning, people were worried as there was an offensive odour around her shop. Then, the husband broke into the shop and he found the dead bodies of his wife and children. These bodies were found in the inner shop and the other extension was where the generator was placed.”
The source also mentioned that officials from the Ojo Local Government were responsible for the removal of the bodies from the shop.
When approached for comment, Benjamin Hundeyin, the spokesperson for the Lagos State Police Command, verified the occurrence of the incident. “It has been confirmed that the incident took place last week,” he stated.

Speaking during an interaction with journalists, the cleric said music inspired by God’s Word can positively influence Nigeria’s spiritual and socio-political landscape by promoting peace, comfort and moral revival.
According to him, gospel music goes beyond entertainment and should be seen as a ministry tool for national healing.

“Gospel music is not just sound; it carries power. When songs are inspired by Scripture, they can heal hearts, restore faith and redirect a nation toward righteousness,” he said.
Pastor Tochukwu made the remarks while discussing his latest worship single, “I Want To Pray,” a spiritually reflective song produced by Audio5.
He explained that the track was created to encourage believers to remain steadfast in prayer and maintain consistent fellowship with God.
The song draws inspiration from Luke 18:1, which urges believers to pray always and not lose heart.
A spiritual son of Paul Enenche, Pastor Tochukwu revealed that most of his songs are birthed from deep study of Scripture.
“Sometimes while studying or preaching from a passage, a melody begins to flow. The lyrics are drawn directly from the Word. Our songs are intentional; they carry the same message we preach,” he explained.
Reflecting on his journey, he recounted beginning as a drummer who also sang before discovering what he described as a divine instruction to minister through music.
“I realised that you don’t minister only through preaching. God made me understand that songs are another channel through which His Word can reach people. Every release is backed by Scripture,” he added.
Pastor Tochukwu currently serves in Lagos, combining pastoral leadership with music ministry.
