Adeboye Attributes Joshua’s Survival to God’s Mercy
British-Nigerian boxing champion Anthony Joshua’s survival in a recent fatal auto crash has been attributed to God’s mercy.
The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, expressed the view on Sunday during the church’s monthly thanksgiving service. He used the incident to illustrate the role of divine mercy in preservation on the occasion.
Recall that Joshua escaped death in the road accident that occurred on the busy Lagos–Ibadan Expressway last Monday.
The crash claimed the lives of two of his friends — Ayodele Kelvin, a 36-year-old Nigerian-British citizen, and Gami Sina, also 36, a British citizen — while others sustained injuries.
While explaining the value of God’s mercy in preservation, Adeboye said, “Lamentations 3:22–23 says it is by the mercies of the Lord that we are not consumed. We are alive because of the mercies of the Lord, not because of cleverness.”
He added, “I read in the newspapers yesterday that our boxing champion, Anthony Joshua, exchanged seats with someone before the accident.

“The people he exchanged seats with died. I don’t know why, but the mercy of God said someone would still be alive today.”
The cleric, who took his message from Psalm 89:1, noted that the use of singular expressions in the Psalms underscores personal importance.
“I have informed us in the past that whenever something is very important to David, he uses the singular to express himself. When you hear him say, ‘The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want,’ it is personal.
“I want you to take this message personally. Maybe one or two people can join me in attaching meaning to it. I am talking to myself,” he said.
Vice President Kashim Shettima has arrived in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, for the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential campaign rally ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The development was disclosed on Friday by Stanley Nkwocha, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Communications in the Office of the Vice President.
Akwa Ibom occupies a strategic position in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, with major federal investments expected to strengthen infrastructure and economic activities across the state.

One of the major projects is the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway, which has an approximately 82.8-kilometre stretch passing through Akwa Ibom.
The project, according to the statement, “promises improved connectivity, expanded trade, greater investment and new economic opportunities for communities across the region.”
Beyond infrastructure, the administration’s interventions in education, agriculture, healthcare, youth empowerment and social protection are also designed to improve livelihoods and broaden economic participation.
The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFund) is among the initiatives highlighted, complementing Governor Umo Eno’s investments in roads, aviation, tourism and human capital development.
The statement noted that the Uyo rally provides “another opportunity to strengthen the APC’s growing political presence in the South-South and make the case for continuity in 2027.”

Daily Times which started publication in 1926 gave the awards as part of its centenary celebrations in Lagos. Hey! This is my 1st comment here so I just wanted to give a quick shout out and say I really
enjoy reading through your articles. Can you recommend any other
blogs/websites/forums that cover the same subjects?
Thanks a lot!
I believe what you published was very reasonable.
However, what about this? suppose you wrote
a catchier post title? I mean, I don’t wish to tell you how to
run your website, but suppose you added a post title that grabbed folk’s attention?
I mean Adeboye Attributes Joshua’s Survival to God’s Mercy is a little
vanilla. You ought to peek at Yahoo’s front page and watch how they create post headlines
to get people to open the links. You might add a
video or a related picture or two to grab people interested about what you’ve written. In my opinion, it would make your blog a little livelier.
My spouse and I absolutely love your blog
and find the majority of your post’s to be just what I’m looking for.
Do you offer guest writers to write content to suit your needs?
I wouldn’t mind composing a post or elaborating on a number of the
subjects you write concerning here. Again, awesome site!
HO
Whats up this is kind of of off topic but I was
wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually code with HTML.
I’m starting a blog soon but have no coding expertise so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any problems
of plagorism or copyright infringement? My site
has a lot of exclusive content I’ve either created myself or outsourced but it looks like a lot of it is
popping it up all over the internet without
my agreement. Do you know any methods to help stop content from being stolen? I’d
truly appreciate it.
