Bobrisky Allegedly Paid N5m To SAN For FG Pardon – Leaked Audio
Controversial cross-dresser Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, better known as Bobrisky, allegedly paid N5 million to a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) to secure a pardon from the Federal Government for money laundering charges brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
This revelation surfaced through an audio recording leaked by social media influencer, Martins Otse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), on Monday, October 7, 2024.
According to VDM, the call recording was made on May 16, 2024, where Bobrisky purportedly discussed the financial dealings surrounding his legal case.
In the leaked audio, Bobrisky claimed that the SAN originally requested N10 million for the legal maneuver to secure his early release.
However, Bobrisky revealed that his bank account had been frozen by the EFCC, which left him unable to raise the full amount.

“I’m supposed to finish my sentence by July, but if we get the amnesty, I could leave by the first week of next month,” Bobrisky allegedly said during the conversation.
“The SAN asked for N10 million, which I could have transferred, but my account is frozen. My godfather gave me N5 million and we sent it to the SAN two weeks ago. He has already submitted the pardon request,” Bobrisky added.
The audio leak has reignited conversations about Bobrisky’s ongoing legal troubles, with the cross-dresser previously in the news for financial irregularities and public controversies.
Interestingly, last week, prominent SAN, Femi Falana publicly denied any association with Bobrisky, refuting claims that he was involved in the case.
Falana stated that Bobrisky never engaged his legal services and clarified that Bobrisky had only spoken to his son, Folarin Falana, better known as Falz.
As this story continues to develop, the leaked audio has raised questions about Bobrisky’s legal strategy and the integrity of the process surrounding his potential pardon.
The EFCC and other authorities have yet to comment on the matter.

The arrest warrant had been issued by Justice Alexander Owoeye of the Federal High Court on January 16, 2025, following an ex parte application by the EFCC seeking to compel Thankgod’s appearance in court.
During a court session on Friday, EFCC counsel, Mrs. Bilikisu Buhari, applied to withdraw the warrant, stating that the charges had already been served on Thankgod’s lawyer, Mr. Monday Ubani, SAN, during open court proceedings.
She argued that the warrant was no longer necessary.
Justice Owoeye granted the application and formally vacated the bench warrant.
