BREAKING: Veteran Yoruba Actor Iyabo Oko Is Dead
Veteran nollywood actress, Sidikat Odunkanwi better known as Iyabo Oko, has reportedly passed away.
The actress died on Wednesday evening, her daughter Bisi Aisha confirmed today (June 29) on Facebook.
“May ur soul Rest In Peace mummy”, she wrote.
Actress Foluke Daramola-Salako also confirmed her death.
Daramola-Salako wrote on her Instagram page: “and finally we lost her.. rip Iyabo Oko, we did our best but God knows best”
Before her demise, the 61-year-old actress battled with ill-health which caused her to take a long break from the movie scene.
Prior to this, she was pronounced dead in 2022 but came back to live after three hours.
Her daughter, Bisi Aisha in a video said, her mother is still alive and that she came back to life after three hours of being confirmed dead.
“Iyabo Oko is still alive o, my mummy is still alive o. I was the one that posted it yesterday when my senior brother called me that she was confirmed dead and after three hours she came back to life.”
Iyabo Oko was born on November 15, 1960, in Osun State’s Iwo Local Government Area.
Sidikat went by the stage names “Iyabo Oko,” “Apoti Aje,” and “Sisi Mama.”
