Burna Boy Makes History As First African Artiste To Achieve 2 Billion Streams In UK
Nigerian afrobeats sensation Burna Boy, born Damini Ogulu, has etched his name in musical history by becoming the first African artiste to reach the remarkable milestone of 2 billion streams in the United Kingdom.
Celebrating this monumental achievement, Burna Boy was honoured with a Brit plaque during his electrifying performance at Koko Camden in London, where he delivered a sold-out show.
Burna Boy’s musical journey began with his debut studio album “L.I.F.E” in 2013, featuring hits such as “Like to Party,” which marked his emergence onto the global stage. He continued to impress with “On a Spaceship” (2015), showcasing his versatility across genres like afrobeats, dancehall, reggae, and hip-hop.

However, it was his third album “Outside” (2018) that truly propelled Burna Boy to international fame, with the breakout single “Ye” becoming a worldwide anthem and earning critical acclaim. His subsequent album “African Giant” (2019) and the Grammy-winning “Twice as Tall” (2020), produced with the guidance of American music icon Diddy, further solidified his status as a force in contemporary African music.
Receiving the Brit 2 billion streams plaque, Burna Boy expressed gratitude, highlighting the significance of perseverance and determination in achieving one’s dreams. His unprecedented success underscores not only his musical prowess but also the growing global appeal of afrobeats music.
Billionaire heiress, DJ Cuppy has declared that she has fully dedicated her life to God, through the biblical water baptism.
She made the disclosure in a statement on her verified handle on micro-blogging site, X, on Friday.

Sharing images of the ceremonies, she asserted that the way to live is actually to die.
She wrote, “This summer, I made THE best decision of my life — to fully dedicate my life to God. Baptism isn’t just a ceremony; it’s a transformation. I am a new creation, reborn in His grace 🕊️✝️

American singer, Solána Imani Rowe, also known as SZA, has announced that she will never pursue a romantic relationship again, describing romance as “a disease”.
She made this declaration in a statement posted on her X account on Thursday.

“I never wanna be romantically interested in a human being ever again in my entire life . That sh*t is a disease,” she wrote.
SZA has been rumoured to have been in a romantic relationship with rapper Travis Scott and a gay relationship with her colleague, Kehlani.
While Kehlani later admitted that she was a lesbian after her and SZA sparked relationship rumours, the latter never publicly disclosed her sexuality.
In a rare statement, SZA said in a tweet in 2020 that she and rapper Drake briefly dated in 2009.
Solána Imani Rowe, known professionally as SZA, is an American singer and songwriter. Born on November 8, 1989, in St. Louis, Missouri, she grew up in Maplewood, New Jersey.
SZA began her musical career with the release of her debut EP, See.SZA.Run, in 2012, and gained wider recognition with her second EP, S, in 2013. Her debut studio album, Ctrl (2017), was critically acclaimed and earned her several Grammy nominations.

Popular Nigerian singer, Dammy Krane has accused Davido of being the brain behind getting him arrested for defamation.
In a series of posts on X, Dammy Krane claimed that he was detained unlawfully by the police on Davido’s orders.
He also alleged that there were plans to frame him for cryptocurrency scams. Dammy Krane urged his followers to hold Davido accountable if anything were to happen to him.
“If anything happens to me @davido should be held responsible. Oppressor @davido has paid them to arrest me.

“They wrote petition, lying that I am into Flutterwave & Crypto scams just to arrest me. This is how they keep using the bad cops to spoil the name of the police,” he posted on X.
Recall that the fight between the duo started in 2023 after Dammy Krane called Davido out over an alleged debt.
In response, Davido described Dammy Krane as ungrateful.
Krane has since continued to drag Davido online. And accused him of having a hand in the death of his friend, Tagbo Umeike, who died in 2017 from alleged alcohol poisoning after his birthday party at Shisha Lounge in Lekki, Lagos State.
During a live performance, veteran fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde, also known as KWAM 1 De Ultimate, called on Dammy Krane and Davido to reconcile and make peace.
