‘Dangote Will Not Bring His Child Here’ – Phyna Pushes For Sister’s Evacuation To India
Big Brother Naija Season 7 champion, Ijeoma Otabor, popularly called Phyna, has urged that her sister, Ruth, be flown overseas for medical care after a tragic road accident left her with life-changing injuries.
Recall that Ruth was involved in a crash on August 13, 2025, close to Auchi Polytechnic, Edo State, only six days after completing her studies.
The incident resulted in the amputation of her leg, forcing her family to seek urgent medical solutions.
In a video clip monitored by Biztellers on Sunday, Phyna appeared visibly distressed while speaking at the hospital reception, alongside representatives said to be from the Dangote Group.

She openly criticised the quality of treatment available.
“I am putting my sister as Dangote’s child, because if not, Dangote will not bring his child here; they will fly them abroad,” she stated.
One of the officials present opposed her remarks, but Phyna maintained her position.
“Dangote will not bring his child here,” she repeated.
When asked if she intended to move her sister out of the country for care, the reality star confirmed, “Yes… India.”
Earlier in the day, she also posted on her X handle, “Anytime you remember Ruth, please say a prayer for her.”
Meanwhile, the Dangote Group acknowledged the incident in a statement, explaining that its welfare team had visited the accident scene, liaised with security agencies, and met the victim’s family at Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital in Edo State.
The company pledged both medical support and compensation under its welfare policy.
Phyna, who became a household name after winning the 2022 BBNaija Level Up edition with a ₦100 million prize, has vowed to keep pressing until her sister gets the best treatment.
The case has sparked massive reactions online, with Nigerians amplifying the hashtag #JusticeForRuth to demand accountability and better healthcare for victims of such tragedies.

The Senior Pastor of Freedom Life International Christian Center, Richard Tochukwu, has declared that gospel music possesses the spiritual capacity to transform Nigeria, describing it as a divine instrument capable of restoring hope and unity in the nation.
Speaking during an interaction with journalists, the cleric said music inspired by God’s Word can positively influence Nigeria’s spiritual and socio-political landscape by promoting peace, comfort and moral revival.
According to him, gospel music goes beyond entertainment and should be seen as a ministry tool for national healing.

“Gospel music is not just sound; it carries power. When songs are inspired by Scripture, they can heal hearts, restore faith and redirect a nation toward righteousness,” he said.
Pastor Tochukwu made the remarks while discussing his latest worship single, “I Want To Pray,” a spiritually reflective song produced by Audio5.
He explained that the track was created to encourage believers to remain steadfast in prayer and maintain consistent fellowship with God.
The song draws inspiration from Luke 18:1, which urges believers to pray always and not lose heart.
A spiritual son of Paul Enenche, Pastor Tochukwu revealed that most of his songs are birthed from deep study of Scripture.
“Sometimes while studying or preaching from a passage, a melody begins to flow. The lyrics are drawn directly from the Word. Our songs are intentional; they carry the same message we preach,” he explained.
Reflecting on his journey, he recounted beginning as a drummer who also sang before discovering what he described as a divine instruction to minister through music.
“I realised that you don’t minister only through preaching. God made me understand that songs are another channel through which His Word can reach people. Every release is backed by Scripture,” he added.
Pastor Tochukwu currently serves in Lagos, combining pastoral leadership with music ministry.
