Ex-Nollywood Actress, Princess Chineke Joins U.S. Army
Princess Chineke, a former Nollywood actress and beauty queen, has made a surprising career transition by enlisting in the United States Army.
Known for her roles in Nigerian films and as a contestant in the prestigious Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) pageant, Chineke’s move to military service has garnered attention from fans and media alike.
Chineke, who also held the title of Miss UNIBEN during her university days, built a successful career as a model, appearing in numerous commercials, billboards, and fashion shows.

“I’m an American Soldier, I am a member of a team. We are the Army and proud of our name. We are the Army and proudly proclaim. I answered the call of service to my country, to serve the people of the United States. This I will defend. So help me God,” she wrote.

Popular Nigerian gospel artiste Nathaniel Bassey has been invited to minister at the prestigious Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast ahead of the inauguration of U.S. President-elect Donald Trump.
The event, scheduled for January 20, 2025, will take place at the iconic Waldorf Astoria Presidential Ballroom in Washington, DC.
The prayer breakfast, hosted by Reverend Merrie Turner, is a non-governmental and non-political gathering that seeks to offer prayers and intercession for the president and the nation.

He also explained the nature of the event, stating: “The Presidential Prayer Breakfast is a non-official and non-governmental event. It is a faith-based platform where intercessory prayers and worship are offered to God on behalf of the office of the president and the government of the nation.
“This event is held once every four years, preceding the inauguration ceremony, as a breakfast prayer meeting ahead of every new administration.” he added
In a candid revelation on a recent episode of Showbiz 360, a popular Ghanaian TV show, celebrated Ghanaian-Nigerian actress Yvonne Okoro expressed her preference for Nigerian men over their Ghanaian counterparts.
The actress, known for her roles in both Nollywood and Ghollywood, attributed her choice not solely to financial considerations but also to the romantic and affectionate nature of Nigerian men.
“Nigerian men or Ghanaian men? Nigerian men are better,” Okoro said, adding, “I didn’t say Nigerian men because of money. That’s not the only thing. Money is there but love, affection is very important. Because if they give me money and there’s no love and they’re very disrespectful, I wouldn’t want that.”
