Jaywon, Odumodublvck Trade Barbs Over Music Quality
Renowned Nigerian singer, Oluwajuwonlo Iledare, popularly known as Jaywon, recently voiced his critique of rapper Odumodublvck’s musical prowess during an exclusive interview with Teju Babyface.
Jaywon, not holding back, took issue with Odumodublvck echoing Burna Boy’s controversial assertion that he received no industry support.
Jaywon emphasized his disapproval, stating that such claims shouldn’t be made, especially considering his belief that Odumodublvck’s music falls short of excellence.
Following Jaywon’s critical remarks about Odumodublvck’s music, the rapper fired back on his X handle, strongly rebuking Jaywon for undermining his musical talent.
In response to Odumodublvck’s outburst, Jaywon remained steadfast, suggesting that the rapper should embrace humility and be open to advice.
Jaywon emphasized the prevalent belief that Odumodublvck’s musical creations, including the ‘Declan Rice’ song, are perceived as lacking in quality.
He wrote “As far as I’m concerned, Odumodu is just as arrogant as the rest of them, and everybody knows the music is not all that but you know, I respect your hustle still bro…… keep crying! The people supporting you too know the truth.
“No be everything be gra gra. Sometimes calm down to listen to small advice.”
Odumodublvck, reposting Jaywon’s tweet, retorted in Pidgin, saying “You wey your music na all that, na only January 1st dem dey book you for show.
“Sapa anthem.”
