My Husband Now Calls Me 'Labour Party' Instead Of 'Baby' – Aisha Yesufu Laments
Aisha Yesufu And Husband

Activist Aisha Yesufu has lamented that her husband, Aliu Osigwu Yesufu, has stopped calling her by the affectionate names he used to use and now refers to her as “Labour Party”.

Aisha explained this is due to her involvement in supporting the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.

Yesufu stated that she is eagerly awaiting the end of the 2023 general election so that her husband will return to using the sweet names he used to call her and pampering her as he used to.

“My husband is now calling me Labour Party instead of the baby or ‘Osotse’ (beautiful) that he usually calls me,

“I can’t wait for the election to be over to go back to being the pampered baby girl I am,” she said.

In response to Yesufu’s comments, a Twitter user identified as Joy Uju Ofodile reassured her that her efforts on behalf of Obi will not go to waste and that she will be pampered even more if he emerges victorious.

Renowned songstress, Tiwa Savage has shared a remarkable gesture of goodwill by fellow artist Olamide.

The YBNL record label owner turned down a N100 million offer for a verse in one of her songs, according to Tiwa’s recent Instagram post.

Tiwa explained that she initially approached Olamide’s management, anticipating that he would insist on providing his contribution for free. His team set a fee of N100 million, but upon learning the artist involved was Tiwa, Olamide refused to accept the payment.

Highlighting their close, sibling-like bond, Tiwa expressed her gratitude towards Olamide for recognising the challenges faced by female artists in the music industry.

“I was talking to his management, I did not want to talk to him directly because he would want to do it for free. I was willing to pay and his team charged me N100 million. When Olamide asked them who the artiste was, he just said NO. He won’t take it,” Tiwa recounted.

“He said I’m his sister and he knows how difficult it is for a woman to make it in the industry. And guess what? He gave the verse for free. Good people exist and Baddo is one,” she added.

This act of kindness underscores Olamide’s supportive nature and his commitment to uplifting fellow artists, particularly women in the industry.

A video has surfaced online, capturing the moment Nigerian singer Davido allegedly slapped one of his mmember so staff simply identified as ‘iamSegxy’ during his wedding ceremony.

The incident, which took place just a week after Davido’s highly publicised wedding to Chioma, has ignited a flurry of reactions across social media platforms.

The footage shows the man bowing to Davido immediately after the alleged slap. Notably, Chioma, alongside media personality Ebuka Obi-Uchendu and singer B-Red, were present during the incident but appeared unfazed.

The video has garnered significant attention, with many expressing shock at the occurrence.

However, the purported victim (iamSegxy) has come forward to refute the allegations.

Taking to social media, he clarified the situation, stating, “As regards the fake video circulating on the internet, you are all commenting on something you don’t know. My boss didn’t slap me and has never slapped any of his staff. He was only cautioning me to allow the boy. The boy in question appeared from nowhere and I tried to stop him. Besides, my boss is my blood and family, I understand him so well without a word from his mouth. 30BG for life. Happy married life, boss.”

This clarification has added a new dimension to the controversy, with many supporters rallying behind Davido. Despite this, the incident continues to trend, sparking debates on the dynamics between celebrities and their staff.
