Nigeria’s Super Eagles Slip In Latest FIFA Rankings
In the most recent monthly FIFA rankings published on Thursday, Nigeria’s Super Eagles saw a slight dip in their position.
Despite a convincing 6-0 victory against Sao Tome and Principe in their recent match, the Super Eagles did not witness any notable improvement in their global ranking.
Nevertheless, within the African continent, Nigeria’s national team managed to retain their sixth-place position.
The Carthage Eagles of Morocco maintain their status as the top-ranked African team.
Following closely behind Morocco are Senegal’s Terangha Lions, Tunisia’s Carthage Eagles, Algeria’s Desert Foxes, and Egypt’s Pharaohs in the continental rankings.
At the global level, the reigning world champions, Argentina, retain their position as the number one team in the FIFA rankings followed by France, Brazil, England and Belgium.
