Ninalowo, Kiekie Spice Show As ‘Hello Mr Right’ Season 2 Debut

Love, excitement, and drama abounded in the debut episode of StarTimes’ dating reality program Hello Mr. Right. Celebrities Kiekie and Bolanle Ninalowo served as the episode’s hosts and added humor and advice to the program.

Twelve single women and three single men are featured in the show, which debuted on June 10. They are searching for their ideal mate and a chance to win over N20,000,000 in prizes.

“Let me tell you why the money part is important,” Kiekie teased her audience, “a wise man once said that love is sweet, but when money comes in, love becomes sweeter.”

The female contestants experience love at first sight as they meet different guys who try to impress them. However, not all matches are mutual, as some guys are rejected by their chosen ladies or vice versa.

Whilst a contestant turned down a guy because her taste peaked at guys in their twenties, another lady was fascinated by the same guy because he was chubby. Seven ladies showed interest in this guy; however, when he was asked to pick his favourite out of the seven, his choice turned him down, citing an excuse that she doesn’t like short guys.

Two lucky couples found love at first sight but faced a tough decision: Cash-out or Cash-big. Cash-out allows them to take instant cash prizes ranging from N10,000 to N250,000 via a lucky-dip box; while Cash-big gives them a chance to compete for N5 million cash and N5 million worth of prizes if they emerge as the ultimate couple via an audience vote.

The couples connected right away and chose to go big, which means that if they win the competition, they will compete for a total of N5 million in gifts and cash as the winning couple.

Indomie, Colgate, Lush Hair, 9mobile, CallerTunez, Taeilor Furniture, and Chef Panda restaurants all support the program. A StarTimes original, Hello Mr. Right has had success in numerous African nations, including Zambia, Tanzania, and Kenya.

Don't Compare Me To Portable – Speed Darlington

Controversial Nigerian singer Darlington Okoye, popularly known as Speed Darlington or Akpi, has been released from Kuje Prison following a court directive.

Activist lawyer Deji Adeyanju disclosed this development on Tuesday, stating on X (formerly Twitter), “Speed Darlington is out of Kuje Prison.”

The singer’s release came after an Abuja court granted him bail. This decision followed intense public pressure on the Nigeria Police Force, which led to his arraignment.

Prior to his release, Speed Darlington had petitioned Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, DIG Dasuki Galadanchi, over his prolonged detention. He called on the DIG to comply with a court order directing his release or formal arraignment.

Justice M.S. Liman had earlier issued an order on December 23, 2024, mandating the police to charge the singer within 48 hours or release him unconditionally.

Speed Darlington’s arrest stemmed from allegations he made against Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy. The singer accused Burna Boy of being involved in an immoral relationship with embattled U.S. rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy.

The situation has sparked widespread discussions, with many Nigerians expressing relief at Speed Darlington’s freedom while others continue to debate the circumstances surrounding his arrest.

Burna Boy Left Fans Hanging At Netherlands Concert

In early January 2025, Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy fulfilled a promise by gifting $30,000 to Bethel Okechukwu, a phone repairer from Alaba Market who had claimed to be related to socialite Cubana Chief Priest.

This act of generosity occurred amid an ongoing feud between Burna Boy and the Cubana Chief Priest.

Following the donation, Cubana Chief Priest clarified that Bethel Okechukwu is not his brother, stating, “I have only one biological big brother & two kid sisters. They ain’t doing so bad.” He emphasized that he is not obligated to support his siblings financially and urged the public to verify such claims.

As of now, there are no credible reports indicating that Burna Boy instructed Bethel Okechukwu to take any specific actions towards Cubana Chief Priest after receiving the $30,000. The narrative appears to be centered around Burna Boy’s charitable gesture and Cubana Chief Priest’s subsequent clarification regarding his familial relationships.
