Ortom One Of Nigeria Worst Governor In History – Phrank Shaibu
Phrank Shaibu, the Special Assistant on Public Communication to the 2023 Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, strongly criticized the G-5 governors.
Shaibu singled out former Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State, labeling him as the worst governor in Nigeria’s history.
Furthermore, Shaibu expressed his dissatisfaction with the performance of former Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State during his time in office.
In a statement, Shaibu accused the G-5 governors of pursuing personal interests such as seeking relevance, appointments, and protection from prosecution.
Shaibu emphasized that the G-5 governors’ decision not to support Atiku was unrelated to their patriotism.
Shaibu urged Nigerians not to be deceived by the actions of the G-5 governors.
He said “Ortom was one of the worst governors in the history of Nigeria. His case file at the EFCC is bulky, and he was recently invited but released because of Wike’s intervention.
“Ikpeazu, the former governor of Abia State, also performed woefully in office. His successor has been complaining almost on a daily basis.
“But the EFCC will not prosecute him because of the G-5 connection.
“This is what they have turned the country into. No wonder they believe Nigeria needs an average mad person.” he added
Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa has been signed up by Jaiz Bank as a brand ambassador.

A gas cylinder explosion at a filling station in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State has resulted in significant damage to six vehicles, according to a statement from the Katsina State Police Command.
The command’s spokesperson, Abubakar Sadiq-Aliyu, confirmed the incident, which occurred on Friday, November 15, 2024.
He explained that a loud explosion alerted police operatives from the Jibia Divisional Police Headquarters. Responding promptly, the Divisional Police Officer led a team to the site, supported by military personnel.

“Upon arrival, operatives found a truck loaded with gas cylinders engulfed in flames at Tamal filling station, along Kagadama-Magamar Jibia Road,” Sadiq-Aliyu stated. The joint team acted swiftly, deploying measures to protect lives and limit property damage. Their efforts successfully extinguished the fire.
The spokesperson added, “Six motor vehicles were significantly affected by the fire incident, but fortunately, no life was lost.”
State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Abubakar-Musa, has directed a thorough investigation to determine the cause of the explosion. Updates on the findings will be provided as investigations progress.
This incident highlights the need for heightened safety measures at gas filling stations to prevent such occurrences.
