In another post, Davido went further, branding Umar Abba a disgrace to his children.
“Mr Umar Abba, Osun State Commissioner, you are a disgrace to your children!!! Game on, F**KER!!! All of us go mad together!! Wrey!!!”*
The singer also shared a video where he vowed to “match the commissioner’s madness,” further escalating the online confrontation.
Davido’s outburst comes in the wake of allegations made by his uncle, Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, against former governor and current Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola.
At a press conference on Sunday, Governor Adeleke accused Oyetola of using his position as President Bola Tinubu’s nephew to incite unrest in the state.
He claimed that Oyetola was working in conjunction with the Osun State Commissioner of Police, the Director of the Department of State Services (DSS), and the Commandant of the Civil Defense Corps to destabilize his administration.
“I called this press conference to alert the national and global audience about a deliberate plot to create chaos and anarchy in Osun State,“ the governor stated, urging President Tinubu to intervene and hold Oyetola responsible for any breakdown of law and order.
With the governor raising alarm over an alleged political conspiracy and his globally recognized nephew taking a personal stance against the police chief, tensions in Osun State appear to be reaching new heights.
The Osun State Police Command has yet to respond to Davido’s accusations.
