BBNaija S9: Wanni Claims Nelly Flirted With Shaun
In a recent interview with Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Wanni Danbaki, the runner-up of Big Brother Naija ‘No Loose Guard’, opened up about her relationship with fellow housemate Shaun, asserting that Nelly was the one pursuing him.
This revelation adds a new layer to the dynamics of the reality show, where romantic entanglements often become a focal point.
Wanni clarified that despite Shaun’s claims of rejecting Nelly for her, it was actually Nelly who had a crush on him.
“If Shaun wanted Nelly, he would’ve gone for her and he would’ve had her because I knew that Nelly wanted him too. Even when we were together, she was still flirting with him,” Wanni stated.

The drama unfolded during the show when Shaun revealed that he chose Wanni over Nelly, suggesting that Nelly’s hesitation in making the first move led to his decision.
Wanni’s recent comments, however, challenge that narrative, implying that Shaun had more agency in the situation than he portrayed.
Interestingly, Nelly was involved in a romantic relationship with another housemate, Sooj, during the competition.
However, the nature of their relationship was ambiguous, with both maintaining that it wasn’t clearly defined.
The love triangle had captivated viewers, sparked discussions about loyalty and intentions within the house.
Fans of BBNaija are left questioning the real dynamics of these relationships, and Wanni’s claims only add to the intrigue surrounding the season.

Prior to his release, Speed Darlington had petitioned Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Force Intelligence Bureau, DIG Dasuki Galadanchi, over his prolonged detention. He called on the DIG to comply with a court order directing his release or formal arraignment.
Justice M.S. Liman had earlier issued an order on December 23, 2024, mandating the police to charge the singer within 48 hours or release him unconditionally.
Speed Darlington’s arrest stemmed from allegations he made against Grammy Award-winning singer Burna Boy. The singer accused Burna Boy of being involved in an immoral relationship with embattled U.S. rapper and music executive Sean Combs, also known as P. Diddy.
The situation has sparked widespread discussions, with many Nigerians expressing relief at Speed Darlington’s freedom while others continue to debate the circumstances surrounding his arrest.

In early January 2025, Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Burna Boy fulfilled a promise by gifting $30,000 to Bethel Okechukwu, a phone repairer from Alaba Market who had claimed to be related to socialite Cubana Chief Priest.

Following the donation, Cubana Chief Priest clarified that Bethel Okechukwu is not his brother, stating, “I have only one biological big brother & two kid sisters. They ain’t doing so bad.” He emphasized that he is not obligated to support his siblings financially and urged the public to verify such claims.
As of now, there are no credible reports indicating that Burna Boy instructed Bethel Okechukwu to take any specific actions towards Cubana Chief Priest after receiving the $30,000.
