Human rights lawyer Femi Falana has responded to an allegation made against him in a viral audio released by Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan.

Falana characterised the claim that he sought a presidential pardon for Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, in exchange for N10 million as a malicious and reckless attempt to tarnish his reputation.

He asserted that he has never discussed the alleged pardon or any related matter with Bobrisky.

In a letter sent to VeryDarkMan on Wednesday by Falana’s legal representative, Taiwo Olawanle, the lawyer demanded an immediate retraction of the publication and an apology from VeryDarkMan to be published across all platforms within 24 hours.

Part of the letter read: “The entire publication was a vicious, wicked and reckless ploy to impugn the reputation of our client and lower him in the estimation of right-thinking members of the public. We wish to state, without any fear of contradiction, that our client has never, in his life, spoken to Bobrisky on his alleged pardon or on any matter whatsoever.

“We, therefore, demand immediate retraction of the offensive and derogatory publication as well as an apology prominently published in all the platforms to which you have disseminated it without any justification whatsoever.

“Be advised that if we do not receive your formal retraction and apology as demanded within 24 (twenty-four) hours of the receipt hereof, we shall proceed with our client’s instructions to seek appropriate legal remedies, including monetary damages, against you for your incendiary publication and dissemination of defamatory statements.”

As reported by BIZTELLERS, in a viral audio released by VeryDarkMan, Bobrisky claimed that certain unnamed operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) had collected N15 million from him to drop money laundering charges.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday morning, Bobrisky denied bribing any EFCC officer to dismiss money laundering charges, stating that he had served his jail term.

Sex Trafficking: US Store Denies Selling Baby Oil To Diddy

Published

on

In a recent development surrounding the ongoing legal battles of music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, American wholesale giant Costco has publicly denied claims that they sold baby oil to the embattled rapper.

This comes after allegations surfaced linking Diddy to a high-profile sex trafficking case.

According to reports, federal officers raided Diddy’s Beverly Hills mansion in March, uncovering supplies they allege were intended for illicit activities, including over 1,000 bottles of baby oil and various drugs.

These items were said to be linked to so-called “freak offs”—wild parties involving orgies, drugs, and other forms of debauchery.

In the new TMZ Studios documentary, The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, Diddy’s lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, claimed that his client possessed large quantities of baby oil because he purchased them in bulk from Costco.

However, Costco swiftly refuted these claims. Speaking to TMZ, a spokesperson for the retail chain stated, “None of the company’s US locations carry baby oil.” The denial casts doubt on the defense’s claims about Diddy’s procurement of the product.

The accusations against Diddy have only intensified in recent weeks. In September, he was arrested by Homeland Security, facing charges including sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. Despite the seriousness of the allegations, Diddy has maintained his innocence, pleading not guilty in court on Tuesday, 17 September.

Despite his legal team’s efforts to secure his release on bail, the court has twice denied Diddy’s requests, leaving the Bad Boy Records founder to remain in custody as investigations continue.

The case has sent shockwaves through the entertainment industry, with many closely watching the proceedings as new details emerge. If convicted, Diddy could face severe penalties that would likely mark the end of his storied career in music and entertainment.

This case against Diddy highlights the growing scrutiny on celebrities and their involvement in criminal activities, particularly those related to trafficking and exploitation. With federal officers leading the investigation, the charges against the rapper are expected to unravel further in the coming months.

As the legal battle unfolds, Diddy’s fans and detractors alike will continue to follow the updates, waiting to see how this high-profile case resolves and what implications it may have for the future of the entertainment industry.
